Screaming Video Without Clearing Out Your Bank Account
- Pros: Runs amazingly cool, even cooler than my previous card. The price is a steal for a card this big. Looks nice, not as fancy as other cards but still pretty cool. Runs everything i have at max settings. easy install and doesn't require a ton of power.
- Cons: My only gripe about this card is the drivers, any PNY card that I've had was supplied with bad drivers, so wasn't surprising, would recommend updating from nvidia.
- Other Thoughts: I had an old 7600gs in my machine so it was a screaming leap in power and performance. I am extremely pleased and would recommend it on a budget build, you get alot of bang for your buck.
- Pros: Low power consumption, low temps, great image quality.
- Cons: Doesn't install itselt, doesn't make the user more intelligent, doesn't prevent natural disasters from occurring.
- Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this card from the Egg because I initially had no intention of buying it. I was actually looking for a harddrive for an HTPC I'm slowly building. For it's price and market segment, the card performs very well. I currently have it installed in my gaming/folding rig which has been running a GTX275. I decided to make this my primary card to see how it would perform during gaming. I was very pleasantly surprised to see my framerates in WoW exceed 100fps at 1680x1050 with all but shadows maxed, which my previous HD4850 was unable to do in the same system. The card runs very cool and nVidia did an amazing job on the graphics quality with this card. I've compared the graphics quality of this card with my GTX275 and HD4850..and quite honestly, I'm extremely pleased. I've never seen such great image quality from an nVidia card in the past. If you play WoW or have an HTPC, I highly recommend this card. You won't be disappointed.
Do not get if you are running vista/win 7
- Pros: Specs are great for the price. Low power consumption for its specs when compared to a similiar ati card.
- Cons: PNY drivers did not work for windows 7. Acceptable. When to PNY to download newer drivers which brought me to nvidia site to download WIndows 7 WHQL 192.95 version drivers got Geforce GT 220. Still getting the nvlkddm.sys error. Tried to downgrade drivers and still same issue. Called Tech Support and still have not yet heard back from them.
