4 out of 5 eggsGood, not perfect

Pros: Arrived on time. Put it into my somewhat old desktop (2001) with Windows 7 2GB of RAM. Right from the start I noticed everything looked a little more crisp with Windows 7. I opened 3D's max and had a much better framerate. I'm not a gamer so I couldn't say if there are any improvements there. On the W7 rating system the PNY card receives a poor 2 out of 7 with a 3/7 in Graphics Memory. For the money though...I'm not too disappointed.

Cons: Again, real bad aero ratings for W7..sometimes when I run certain programs the windows taskbar will change back to the default color and act as if im not running DirectX9 anymore intill I close that program. These programs are mostly C++ compilers made to make small games...so I guess this wont affect most people.

Probably my biggest complaint to this card is the fact that I am having one heck of a time getting the multiple displays to work the way it's suppose to. Maybe my computer is simply too old for all of this...but never the less a bit of a disappointment that it didn't work the way I wanted it too.

Other Thoughts: All in all...a decent card. It was my first graphics card and it did what I bought it for...upgrade me to DirectX9.0. Next time I'll shoot for something with more power...but this will do the job.

The adapter that comes with this card does NOT plug into the S-video. It's will only plug into this special graphics port on this PNY card...I'm not too up to date on graphics card and maybe I missed something. Just thought I'd point that out seeing how i was a little miss led.

Good card, but if your into anything more then moderate graphics intensive...buy something with more memory and processing power.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable AGP card!

Pros: Quick and easy install,
Software easy to use,
Great price and quality!

Cons: N/A ... A fan would have been nice instead of just the heatsink.

Other Thoughts: At first thought this was DoA but jumped in Bios and fixed that issue by booting from AGP slot vs. onboard video.

I Purchased this for an older Hp computer that runs windows xp and is used for surfing the internet and playing arcade style games. The owner wanted to play the new Nancy Drew game and needed a card with DirectX 9 and this card did the trick! Game runs smooth and clear, with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsVideo

Pros: It works as advertised. Went right in without any trouble.

Cons: n

Other Thoughts: I used this card as an upgrade for an older computer that is used for normal household applications. A little extra speed overall was realized as the system resources are no longer shared for video.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Videos or Windows 98

Pros: Sort of cheap, fits and AGP slot, won't have a memory limitation.

Cons: No Flash 10 support on the hardware so it will not help you watch Youtube videos (uses the CPU for this).

The 6200 is a supported chipset for Windows 98 from nVidia but PNY did not do a good job with this and they know it as they responded to my inquiries saying they had just recently stopped supporting it for Windows 98.

Other Thoughts: If you want a Windows 98 video card, get some old AGP cards from an eloctronic auction bay.

If you want to be able to have your graphics card help you with Youtube, you have to spend over $70 and at that point you should really just get a new cheap computer.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: It works.

Cons: Pitifully slow.

I'm upgrading an older computer to windows 7. After replacing the CPU and maxing out the RAM I noticed the Windows 7 Graphics score was pretty low so I replaced the old geForce FX-5500 with this card. To my surprise and chagrin, the graphics score went DOWN by 30%. The frame rates in all my favorite games went DOWN. I tried the Windows driver, the driver that came in the box and the driver from the nVidia web site, none of which made any difference. This card just runs 30% slower than an aged FX-5500.

Other Thoughts: I put the FX-5500 back in the box and my video improved to where it was before. I'd like better graphics performance so I guess I'll buy an updated AGP card from a different manufacturer while I can still get a card for this old graphics standard.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cheap card

Pros: Works with Ubuntu 10.04

inexpensive

Cons: Can't get 16:9 ratio to display properly on my TV, but that may be a limitation of Ubuntu or the TV... or the VGA output. Haven't looked into it, so no -egg...

Other Thoughts: It did what I needed. A resolution and performance increase for an older machine.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for old PCs

Pros: Inexpensive and solid performance for old AGP machines.
This is not a high-end gaming card, but it does make watching even MKVs bearable.

Drivers installed with no issues, card performs exactly as expected.

Cons: None. For the price and the old AGP slot, this is a solid card.

Other Thoughts: If you need a replacement videocard for an old PC, this one will fill the need perfectly for very little money.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade for Old AGP

Pros: Replaced an older 256MB GE5200GT with this card on a Win7 system that plays 3D online MMORPGs. Installation was a breeze and immediately saw 2-3 times better graphics. Obviously, upgrading from an onboard video would yield even greater measurable results.

Cons: It's still AGP. But if you don't want to replace your motherboard and CPU, then this is the best way to go.

Other Thoughts: Although the "Windows Experience" rating didn't improve like I had thought, the actual results were impressive. So don't get worried if Windows doesn't rate this card with high values. It works great in 3D.
