5 out of 5 eggsGTX 470

Pros: I bought this as refurbished in 2011/04, I never had any issues with this card, I am not a gamer but mostly do Adobe premier pro editing . I am not replacing this card any time soon.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Glad to see this card is still avilable

5 out of 5 eggsWorking nicely over a yr later.

Pros: Despite it being refurbished, it continues to function over 1yr later. CUDA enabled in Adobe timelines... playback of 5d2 footage is realtime. BF3, call of duty WAW, etc.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsGood-ish

Pros: Card ran well playing most games at max without an issue.... at first

Cons: Started getting really hot about a year after its installation.
It started over heating so I replaced the TIM and it still overheats on some games, speed of card has also decreased

Other Thoughts: If they can fix the heating issue this would be a heck of a card

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome card for the money, and it runs cooler than my EVGA card, I am running this card in SLI with my EVGA GTX470 , 780i motherboard and Q9550 and it has revived my gaming to the point that I will get a little more life out of my dated system, it is money well spent.

Cons: None that I have found other than being out of stock

Other Thoughts: If you have a GTX470 and a board that can run SLI dont give it a second thought, pick one of these up when they are back in stock and dont look back, if you have a really old card and you are in need up an upgrade this card will run most games with med/high settings just fine, the 1.2 gigs of memory will hurt you a little at super high rez but hey its not a $500 card.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Dissappointment

Pros: Nice card, fast ,Runs new games on high,

Cons: Card received was Broken, The packing job was not to par and the shipping service was terrible. I got the box and was very exitited to try it out. after plugging the card in the computer failed to boot sevral times until i got 1 successful boot for about 5 min. The item was packed on the bottom not the middle of the box, and the box after shipping was mangled. So much so that the plastic case inside the sealed video card box was cracked. After waiting 4-5 days for a replacement all i got was a refund because the item was out of stock. newegg was great, even in the face of my misplaced anger.

Other Thoughts: I have been ordering from here for many years, this is my first and only grievance.

5 out of 5 eggsUnlocked Performance Rocks

Pros: The card I received is a black PCB version that can be unlocked to GTX470, and it runs just like a GTX470, including its OC potential. Immediately after receiving this card, I inspected and tested it. I also flashed it with EVGA's super clock version GTX470 BIOS without any issues. It's now running stably at 800MHz/1600Mhz/1800Mhz(core/shader/memory clocks) with 1.087v using Evga precision 2.11. I also set up a customized fan profile to cool it down with more rpm as the temperature increases, and that works great. Somehow EVGA Precision doesn't allow me to dial the voltage to 1.15v; otherwise, it may be overclocked higher.

Cons: It's really loud at 100% fan speed, but who cares. My boy baby Aiden actually likes some noise. This may help him to calm down a little.

Other Thoughts: I am lucky to get this card. I should have ordered two of these when they were on fire sale earlier this year.

1 out of 5 eggs3 strikes, PNY is out.

Pros: Great card, when it works. Many features, very powerful for the price.

Cons: Only semi working on arrival. Had in system for a few days, thought everything was great... Till I tried to game on it. Screen flickers about once per minute, after a few of these occurences, framerates drop to stupid low rates.

Other Thoughts: I had 2 GTX465s (pny recerts) made it about 3 1/2 months (just outside there 90 day warranty) ordered the GTX470 as a replacement, now its dead two, stuck on my media PC with my high end gaming rig on the sidelines again.

100% Failure rate on 3 cards (tested in multiple machines) in 4 months, unacceptable. Now have $400 in paperweights and 1 card on its way back to new egg. No more PNY for me, and will stop recomending to people.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerhouse

Pros: Cranks through Folding@home work units like it's its job. Definitely makes my gaming bottleneck my CPU. Can't wait to try it with my new 990FX motherboard and Phenom X4 965 CPU.

Cons: When running Folding@home it is pretty loud. Not loud when playing Mechwarrior: Living Legends (a Crysis Wars mod with extreme GPU requirements).

Other Thoughts: To me, "recertified" means "new, tested and working". I've had excellent luck with recertified GPUs, and this one is shaping up to be another excellent investment.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Good card for the money. Install was very easy and fast. Ran GTA IV at full video settings and did not have any problems. Also ran several other games including Crysis 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, and L4D 2.

Cons: Kinda bulky compaired to my Asus GTX 260. I don't mind so much as my case is big. Others with smaller cases may want to take this into consideration.
Also this comes with no accesories. Only the software DVD.

Other Thoughts: Good card so far. I bought the extended waranty just incase
