1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: It worked as it should then it began crashing when loading games.

Cons: SC2, TF2, and D3 all crash when I try to start them.

I have already RMA'd once 6 months for a similar issue and it was returned and worked for 8 months under very, very light use.

Other Thoughts: I will try to RMA again but, I have been very disappointed thus far with my ownership.
I did not purchase this card through Newegg. I have always had adequate service from Newegg and I recommend them often to friends and clients.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsHigh Potential

Pros: When the card did work, it was a great card.

Cons: The card began giving me random crashes almost immediately. Sure, at first I was straining the card, but nothing that is too bad. After a while of the random crashes simple things such as opening one World of Warcraft window would crash it. Great card, but what good is it if it doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: I RMAed this card (refund)(still in process) and upgraded to the GTX 580 (3072mb version) by EVGA. The new card works great and I would recommend it to anyone who can afford adding on ~$300 to their RMA refund for this card.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well my pny 570 card works fine, and seems to run 850 @ 1.0v using Crysis hours on end (or anything else). At stock settings (732@0.95v) it's plenty quiet. With the above oc, the fan runs a bit more while gaming but still fine. (1.1v will make the fan go nuts -- a sure sign that it's too much for the card.)

Cons: Don't turn the voltage up too high on a 570, as it only has 4 vrms, and there's no easy way to monitor vrm temperature.

Other Thoughts: My case has excellent cooling, and my 570 has no crashing or overheating issues so far. 1.025v didn't get much extra mhz on the oc, so I stuck to 1.0v setting. Using afterburner for oc software.

2 out of 5 eggs570 XLR8

Pros: Works well when it works. DX11 support. Fast card, fair price.

Cons: Started failing within 30-60 days. Subtle stuff, occasional crashes. Then more crashes. I'm filing a RMA, we'll see how it goes.

Other Thoughts: Another Nvidia failure. Nvidia products are easily the most common failures in my and my business systems. Admittedly, I do have a 280gtx and 8800gtx that are still functional. Otherwise, every laptop I own with a nvidia part (7xx0s) had the part fail. Several 9800s failed. I've been with Nvidia solidly since I went from a Rage128 to a TNT. I don't know if I'll get another Nvidia product. They just don't last for me.

5 out of 5 eggsPNY GeForce 570 (Fermi)

Pros: When the card dosn't over heat its great. the 2nd positive is it will make a good paper weight. i gave newegg the 5 eggs if it was possible i would give PNY a -5.

Cons: The card would be good if you didn't put any load on it.
Once you put a load on it the temp rises then the card gets to hot and crashes your PC.
NewEgg has no fults with this RMA 3 times did i metion both cards are bad.

Other Thoughts: I see PNY just encorperated water cooling to the 2nd gen 580 cards. PNY used to be a great manufacturing company but the only thing they did for me was tell me we can replace them no refund. hmmm just added water cooling to the next gen cards is that telling us the stupid cunsumer they do have a heat issue. they will tell you they don't but there actions tell me they do.

2 out of 5 eggsPNY Garbage Company

Pros: Great frame rate in games for a single card.
Cool design

Cons: Mine came with voltage problems
Runs hot
TERRIBLE customer service, they wouldnt RMA it
Constant crashing

Other Thoughts: Heres what happend:
My computer started crashing everytime i would open a game. after some tests it seemed like it was my new PNY 570. To make sure i was 100% (i didnt want to go through the whole RMA process cuz this computer is for my business), I brought the clock speed down a bit to see if it was a bad stock voltage. Sure enough it was. Worked perfectly with a lower clock. The voltage it was set at was too low for the stock clock speed which justifies an RMA.

I emailed PNY 3 TIMES (not having a corporate number on their website) and took them almost a month to write me back, all for them to say, "Sorry we cant RMA this product, by lowering the clock speed, you voided the warentee"

Thats GARBAGE! Lowering the clock speed 1) is better for the card anyway, 2) if i didnt, i wouldnt have known what component was broken.

In conclusion, i was warned on various forums not to buy PNY products, but didnt listen, and bought it ironically for the lifetime waranty, and now im stuck wi

2 out of 5 eggsRan Too Hot, Casued Lockups

Pros: reference design with vapo chamber cooler, good warranty

Cons: Ran hot (like 55-60C at idle; 95C+ maxed w/ Furmark), Unstable (see below)

Other Thoughts: Installed this in a DCC workstation. Using Furmark it would hit 90C within 3 minutes in a 25C room with decent case airflow. I always cancelled the test when it hit 95C which was usually around 4-5 minutes. At those temps the GPU fan would easily be the loudest component in the system. I would experience graphical glitches and sometimes system lockups. I hypothesized the problems were heat-related.

Replaced with an Asus 570GTX Direct CU II card (the one with a triple slot heatpipe cooler) and in the same system the Asus card maxes out at 82C and only a minor increase in noise when running Furmark for 10+ minutes. The Asus runs 46C at idle and I've not experienced system stability issues or graphical glitches.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Card no doubt........

Pros: Easy to install no problems whatsoever, as others have stated the pics are a little different than the actual item new egg ships?? The difference.. DVI ports are not side by side but one on top of the other, so no full air grill all the way across only half? I don't see this as an issue. While some complaints dealt with high temps I can not say I have had any issues. idles AT 26-30'c Load is 65-70'c.. No winning noise smooth quite seamless operation!

Cons: None this is a great deal on a great card LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!!! (just dont forget to register of course)

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 4870x2 (not by choice ) Had a sapphire and was 1 month past its 2 year warranty and Sapphire said oh tooo bad.. I offered to pay for repair they still said "no can do".. I have been a lifelong ATI supporter and my 4870x2 experience has completely changed that will never do business with Sapphire again and be a long while for ATI as I wrote them and they never even replied! Not good to treat customers like that especially the ones that pay top dollar for your premium products! Hellllo Nvidia and hopefully a long relationship with good support This single card is as fast and in some benches faster than the 4870x2, I just ordered a 2nd card to really push it over the top :) THANKS NEWEGG for the fast ships as always!

4 out of 5 eggsFirst PNY Experience

Pros: Plays anything I throw at it at highest settings. Bought this when it was on sale so got a 570 for about 70 bucks cheaper than normal.

Cons: Took 1 egg off because as many reviewers have noted my first card would randomly lock when anything needed direct x 9. But must say PNY took very good care of me. Gave them a call sent the card back and replacement is extremely good card.

Other Thoughts: If you have random lockups return it the card is defective. There are no workarounds.
