4 out of 5 eggsDecent 3D performance

Pros: My previous system was an 8800GT with an Intel E6750.
New rig is an Intel I5 system on a Z68 motherboard (with the 560Ti).
In practical use during gaming this card performs well, and I am happy with the increased performance from older generation hardware.
I have used the mini HDMI out adapter to an HD TV and it "just worked".
Has run relatively quiet and cool.
I am running games like Rift, Diablo 3, Skyrim.
Software drivers keep getting better.

Cons: Price - over $230 paid.
I set my price point around $250 max for a video card.
Frankly I did not get the same value as I did for the old 8800GT, that card chewed anything I threw at it for 4 years for the same price.

Other Thoughts: As a fairly demanding gaming user I would not have settled for anything LESS than the 560Ti.

2 out of 5 eggsI'm lost

Pros: It works most of the time. When it does it is a very nice card. It runs cool and I've yet to run into a game that I can't max out.

Cons: Crashing.
Truly the crashing itself is a minor inconvience. Requires a force restart, but it fortunately only happens once or twice a day.
Which is truly once or twice daily too often.
Also, the crashing is a known issue - PNY has not fixed it.
It also makes a RMA superfluous . You get the same card with the same issues.

Other Thoughts: There is no way I'll be buying from PNY again.
I paid ~$250 for a broken card that was not tested properly.
The exceptionally ridiculous part is that I am not a unique case, and the cards are still being distributed with not even a fix for those who seek one out.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsavoid pny at all cost

Pros: looks nice (the card), sort of works, only crashes 3-5 times a day.

Cons: PNY support is the WORSE. they have no actual way of testing this card. their solution is for me to cover shipping to them, test the card, then replace it with a refurbished card. IF I WANTED A REFURBISHED CARD I WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT A NEW ONE, and not spent $250 on pny junk... DERP! PNY support has provided NO testing solutions; besides "update your drivers." id1ots! PNY does NOT have their own drivers or even a firmware update for this card. They provide no support via their horrible website. artifacts and black triangles in games, nvidia driver lock ups, and complete system crashes. Up until adding this card, i had NO issues, at most I'd crash 1x a month. I had to use MSI's afterburner to increase the fan speed scale of the card, card was getting VERY hot 85+ degree.

Other Thoughts: per PNY support i've tried (for all components of my system); drivers from board manufacture, on-cd drivers that came with boards, and latest driver from the chip manufactures. no help. I also did a complete clean install of Win7, and all the drivers again, no help. emailed (replied to an open ticket) support 10 days ago and the reply i got asked "for what card is this in reference to?" When it clearly stated the card within my reply. PATHETIC.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems here

Pros: Great graphics,no heat issues,quiet..Got card just before bf3 release, and haven't had any issues yet.Although I've read reviews that this card won't play bf3 well,I haven't had any problems at all w/ bf3 or any other games for that matter.

Cons: Couldn't find card size specs before purchase.Had to cut card to fit my mob, lol.

Other Thoughts: Was out of stock at Newegg, had to buy elsewhere. =(

2 out of 5 eggsDo not purchase if you will be spending a lot of time on Battlefield 3

Pros: The price is set at a great price, it runs every game I throw at it on max settings, it is generally pretty quiet.

Cons: Like my title says, DO NOT waste your time with this card if you are going to be buying Battlefield 3. While the graphics are indeed incredible with the card, everything else is horrible. There is horrible graphics tearing and artifacting on large outdoor maps. Apparently there is a patch supposed to come out, but that has yet to happen. Had I known the card would be this glitchy with Battlefield, I wouldn't have purchased.

Other Thoughts: If an update comes out where the tearing and artifacting becomes non-existent, this is a 4/5 egg card. For proof that this is happening, check youtube for 560Ti Battlefield videos. It really is unfortunate and renders outdoor maps unplayable.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Customer Service...

Pros: It looks nice in my case.

Cons: Wow, where do I start? The card crashes doing anything. Nearly all of my games have artifacts and it crashes to my desktop after about 10 seconds. After reading thousands upon thousands of people having the same issue, I tried to contact customer support and was told that there was nothing that could be done, and it was probably some issue with my system. Thank you soo much for your insight, I should have consulted my 5 year old son on the matter...

Other Thoughts: I'm not an idiot, I've built computers all my life, and this has munfacturer error written all over it. If you don't believe me, google "PNY 560 Ti problems" and look at the mass of issues...People have said that the issue can be fixed by upping the voltage on the card, or by downclocking and setting all detail to "Low". Why should I have to do any of this for a card I paid $279 for?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great video card. Very good price for performance and it isn't overly noisy. Temperatures aren't an issue at all. SHREDS through games, with one card I'm averaging 60fps on Battlefield 3 with all settings on high. I'm adding a second card to run in SLI, it isn't really needed but I saved up to get it, so I'm freaking getting it.

Cons: None noted.

Other Thoughts: Build used in:

I5-2500K CPU
P67 chipset mobo
16gb ram

3 out of 5 eggsGood concept, poor execution

Pros: Great specs for a good price.
When it works, the card performs very well.

Cons: After purchasing I found these cards have a slew of issues. Do some searches for "560 ti problems" and you'll find loads of posts about glitches, driver crashes, artifacts in game, etc. Some claim it's a driver issue, others say they had to RMA to fix the problem.

Other Thoughts: I got two of these at the same time, both cards gave the same issues (listed above). It doesn't sound like it's just PNY, either. Many 560s and 560 TIs have these problems. It sounds like once you get the manufacturer to replace it, though, there are no more problems. If you don't mind taking the risk and waiting for a working replacement, it really is a good card at a good price.
