5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for me.

Pros: Upgrading from an old Radeon HD 4770. My motherboard only support PCI Express 2.0 (not 3.0) so this GTX 560 is about the best I can find on Newegg. It's benchmarking (using 3dMark) at about 2x the performance of my old 4770 so I'm pretty happy, especially at a cost of $109 shipped.

So far I've run Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 on it and I'm getting smooth gameplay at 1680 x 1050 with the highest quality detail settings.

Under load the card runs at about 75-80 degrees C. I can't really speak to the fan noise of the card because the stock AMD CPU fan is so dang loud that it drowns out any other case noise.

The card does require two 6-pin PCI-E power connectors. My power supply only had one, but I had an extra 4-pin to 6-pin adapter and that worked fine. The manufacturer recommends a 450W power supply, but mine runs fine with a 400W power supply.

I haven't experienced any driver crashes or "pink screens" that some of the other reviewers below have. Maybe Nvidia's latest drivers fixed the problem, or maybe I just got lucky on got a good card.

Cons: I thought the card was DOA at first because all I got was a black screen all through boot up. The computer would start, Windows would load (I could hear the starting sound), but my monitor said it wasn't receiving a signal. Turns out that the DVI cable I was using with the old 4770 just wouldn't work with the GTX 560. When I swapped it with a new DVI cable everything worked. Strange.

It's not really the fault of card, though. I only mention it on the off chance that someone else runs across the same issue and reads this review.

Other Thoughts: My system consists of:

AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0Ghz 95W CPU
ECS Black Series GF8200A (V1.0) Motherboard
2 x 1GB CORSAIR XMS2 DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
2 x 1GB G.SKILL DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
ASUS 18X DVD±R DVD Burner
FSP Group ZEN 400 400W Fanless ATX 2.2V Power Supply

1 out of 5 eggsI guess it WAS refurbished...

Pros: It runs really well when it runs well. That's about the only way I can put it.

Cons: It's a power leech that runs extremely hot and this specific set does nothing but have driver crashes no matter how far you roll back. In essence, it's totally worthless. Don't waste your money.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to give it 2 on the assumption that you have a lottery-winning chance of not having an absolutely worthless, broken beyond belief card - but seeing how many other people in here are having random problems, somehow I think that chance is too low to even warrant 2. I thought PNY was excellent, but this is horrible.

1 out of 5 eggs(CRASHES) Very Unhappy

Pros: NONE - There are no pros if I cant use the card for all of its purposes

Cons: Re-certified? for what, this card is still broken! It crashes my computer daily, usually multiple times! Someone on here mentioned crashing to a pink screen on youtube only, I WISH!
I cant play video in media player, I cant play video on youtube, Flash, HD, AVI's - I am so sick of this.
I work for a church recording and editing their VIDEO for television and I can barely get it done. I wish I hadnt bought this card.
The only thing the card will do without crashing is play games, but I just built an intel 2500k system and I need to do more than play games!

Other Thoughts: Im wondering if Im even going to be able to do anything about this since it was re-certified. I just want a good card that will play games on high AND will let me watch my TV and MOVIES without crashing!

3 out of 5 eggsRuns games fine

Pros: This card is great in terms of gaming. I'm able to play all of my games at maxed out settings. It's also very quiet, and it smelled like a brand new card when I pulled it out of the box. Installation was easy. And honestly you can't beat the price.

Cons: Pink screens. I've had this card for 2 days now, and I've gotten a pink screen about 4 times now. The first two times, they went away when I reset my monitor. However the last two I had to reset my computer.

They only occur when I'm watching youtube videos though. Pretty strange but I'm not sure what to think of it. I might return this card before the warranty is up though, because this is the kind of problem that can only get worse with time.

Also, the packaging was horrendous.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I upgraded from two SLI'd GTS250's (which are equal to the 9800GTX) and there is a massive performance difference (I can enable shadowing, higher resolution textures, anti-aliasing, etc)

Only requires 1 SLI connector, my old cards needed two.

It does require 2 6 pin power connectors per card, so make sure you have enough available. It comes with a 2 molex --> 6 pin adapter.

I had no problems installing & downloading the latest drivers from nvidia.

Cons: It's refurbished, but it looked brand new out of the box.

My system consumes about 34% more watts under load than it did with the old setup. (an increase of ~120 watts).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Awesome card for the price, pretty sure mine was new. Can't stress enough at how quiet yet powerfull this card is. Perfect card for the average gamer.

Cons: None what so ever.

Other Thoughts: Extremely happy with my purchase and kudos to newegg for such a sweet deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cards

Pros: Great cards for a great price. I bought two and have SLI'd them together on my MSI P67A-C43 MB. BF3 runs at 120 fps with everything on ULTRA. It is a whole new game.

2600K w/ Hyper 212
16gb Crucial 1600 DDR3
Fractal Design R3
SeaSonic M12II - 650watt (yes 650w running GTX 560 in SLI like a champ)

Cons: Neither card came with an SLI bridge, manual or software other than drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsYou don't got what you paid for

Pros: Card works fine. Huge difference after using GF 8600. Everything I throw in it, play with no hassle.

Cons: When you play demanding gams it's getting loud, but I'm OK with it. When played Mass effect 3 for couple hours, the temp increased to 71C which is not to bad. I didn't overclocked it, no need for now. I got twice, little reddish screen for few second, so I do not know if it's effect of using refurbished card or monitor connection.

Other Thoughts: I paid $149.99 thougth it’s good deal, However it’s not. You get card with limited waranty, no extra power cables, no DVI – VGA adapter. Next time I will buy the brand new one. My only hope is that this card is fixed and will serve for a while.

5 out of 5 eggsPNY GeForce GTX 560

Pros: Very nice card - a real nice price too. I am a diehard Nvidia fan, so this card was a no-brainer. It looks great in my side window too!

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I paid over $300 for the GT260 this is replacing, awesome to get this newer, more capable card for a really good price!
