3 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT include low profile bracket!

Pros: QUIET FAN: This PNY GT430 is configured to allow the fan speed to dip all the way down to 35%, whereas most other GT430s won't go below 70%. This keeps things nice and quiet on my HTPC when I'm not pushing it too hard.

LOW POWER: Works fine with my 230w power supply. Also, it doesn't require any additional power connectors, so it's more compatible with older or cheaper power supplies.

Cons: DOES NOT INCLUDE LOW PROFILE BRACKET! Even though you see it in the photo gallery, this card does NOT come with a low profile bracket. Luckily, the card's ports are arranged in what I'm guessing is a standard configuration, so you may be able to use the bracket from another low profile card. The bracket from my old Asus ATI card fit just fine, as a temporary solution.

Other Thoughts: I've been emailing back and forth with NewEgg for nearly three weeks now, and still haven't made any headway on getting a replacement low profile bracket. If you plan on buying this card for a low-profile machine, get ready to buy additional mounting hardware.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Upgrade From Onboard Video

Pros: This card has improved the video response on my Opensuse 12.3 system versus the onboard video I had been using. I am not using it for gaming. The nVidia drivers seem to be better supported in Linux than ATI Drivers. Overall, I am happy with the performance of this card - it is not a card for demanding video games, but is entirely adequate for Blu-Ray and HD video.

Cons: The only con I have is that the rebate from PNY was never received. I have never liked the rebate concept and while I haven't had a problem in the past receiving them (from other companies) this one seems to have fallen through the cracks.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: It plays blu ray well and I'm sure it will be fine for light gaming. Its inexpensive and it does have 2 gig on board as well as 128 bit. If I was a gamer I don't think I'd get one of these, however if you are a gamer you already know that. Just a nice upgrade to the onboard video installed in the older motherboards.

Cons: No cons just read the specs. If your new to gaming just ask fellow gamers what they have. No scratch that. They are probebly over powered. But this isn't the card to keep up with the super high graphics.

Other Thoughts: Just like there are people who will only drive a Ford and some will only drive a Chevy (okay I'm old) there are Intel people and AMD people, Ati and Nvidia. I'm AMD and Nvidia.(I was Dodge person). And for decent gaming graphics In my other rig I have a 560TI

3 out of 5 eggsFor mid range pc it is good for the $

Pros: It is very small, it will fit any case. I overclock it very easily with EVGA precision software. to almost 900 core clock and only bump the memory clock up to 550 from default 535. it stays at 50 degrees during max load, but i have my case open with a living room fan blowing on whole case :) it is not loud at all as some people have said in reviews. it stays at aout 28 degrees when just browsing, desktop, etc.

Cons: not the strongest card, only 128 bit. but if your looking at this card your either not trying to get the best card out. just the best for the money. if you get this on sale as i did. then it is a good deal. no higher than 60 bucks. no cons really except it wasnt as strong as i was HOPING, didntrealize it was only 128 bit. but really not many cons. would be really great for a media center.

Other Thoughts: for the price you cant expect more.. i upgraded from a geforece 9800 gt and it doesnt have a HUGE jump in graphics. but a big enough improvement in games, I.e skyrim, planetside 2
overall. with i5 2300, 8 gig ram and solid state drive... my comp is the best ive ever built.... so far :P

5 out of 5 eggsPrice and Performance at unbeatable price!

Pros: - Super easy to install
- NVIDIA provides great driver support/updates
- Great Price

Cons: - Gets somewhat hot but remains stable even when overclocked

Other Thoughts: First of all, there are two things that I couldn't find much information on before I purchased this model and I hope I help someone looking for this info:

1) Overclocking headroom
2) Gaming performance

I took a chance though (can't beat the 29.99 after rebate) and bought the card. First of all, you won't yield as much overclocking as you would on a high end card but I easily pushed this little card to 900 core/ 695 Memory over the stock 700/535 and it is running entirely stable. Like another reviewer said, you should definitely consider overclocking to get the most out of the card - It's easy with programs like MSI afterburner.

Second, gaming performance was on par and somewhat exceeded my expectations based on related reviews of other GT 430 cards. I run my games at 1920x1080 and, sure, you might have to play around with the settings to get the best performance (and also don't expect max/ultra settings especially at higher resolutions) but to give you an example I can run Fallout 3/New Vegas at 1080p low/med settings at 55-60fps. Black Ops 1080p low settings 65-85 fps and I have yet to try it out on a few other games.

Also note that if you have a monitor with a lower resolution (there's a lot out there that are only at like 1366x768, then you can expect a big improvement over running games on a 1080p monitor)

Those stats may not seem like much but I'm assuming if you are looking into this card then you may not have a super high end system, or are looking for something with less bells and whistles, otherwise you should probably look into the higher GTX and Radeon models.

For the price, you get a lot of performance from this card and it is very useful if you have a budget gaming system/occasionaly do some light gaming and/or do graphics intensive work.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price

Pros: -Value
-Performance

Cons: -Cost (see below)

Other Thoughts: Had this card running for over a year now in a older Core 2 Duo E8400 Build. Great card for the price. STILL can play new titles with AA and Shadows turned off, gets around 25-35 FPS on most new games with settings tweaked. There are much better Nvidia cards in this price range as this card is now 2 years old, so there's really no point in getting this particular model. I deducted 1 Egg seeing that there are 3 or 4 higher performing cards at or cheaper then this 2 year old model.

Card Overclocks very good, was able to maintain a stable OC of 895 core/900 memory with Msi Afterburner. If you do get this card, you will definitely want to OC it to grab all the performance you can. I have seen this card listed in the correct price bracket of 50$ on other sites.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video card

Pros: For something at this price you get quite the power out of it. At 720p I can get my game settings up to a good point. It makes a good starting card - midway card.
Installs easy and keeps running on and on.

Cons: When going up to higher resolutions (1080p) it tends to not work as well, but 720p and under is fine.

Other Thoughts: When looking at my hardware monitoring software it actually says that it is running at near a GHz instead of 700MHz. Mostly sure it is a bug in the software, though.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU-Great price-Slightly Hot

Pros: Plays BF3 on high with 30-40 FPS. Same thing with skyrim. Cheap 2Gb card. Decent 96 Cuda cores.

Cons: Gets slightly hot when on load. When playing BF3 it goes to 60 C. Slightly hot personally. But runs 20-30 C idle. I don't have great ventilation so don't blame it all on the card.

Other Thoughts: Msi 970a
16gb 1600mhz patriot 4x4Gb
FX-6100 3.3 Ghz not over clocked

Some bad 500 watt psu. Upgrading to corsair.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a very nice card for the cheap price it can come at. It stays cool and runs quite well. Most games can go through mid-grade settings on this, some on high settings.
If you want a game to work, this is it for you.

Cons: It takes all the sound and shoots it out the HDMI, but it can be an easy fix.

Other Thoughts: There are a few games I can not run, but that is because of the cheap processor I have.
