The Geforce GTX 650 gives you a GTX gaming experience at a remarkable price. Based on the fast and efficient NVIDIA Kepler architecture, Geforce GTX 650 provides the perfect entry point to DirectX 11 and 1080p HD gaming in your favorite FPS and MMO games.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: I purchased this card as a backup due to a GTX 660 TI being dead on arrival. It is a decent card for the price. Plays Arma 2 on Ultra. Though it will not play Hitman: Absolution with MSAA on x8. Though I believe it to be the software rather then the hardware itself. Runs 2 displays well, though it will scream at you if you do more then browse. PNY cards have never let me down. I had a 9600 GT last me years.

Cons: Runs hot while playing anything or using 2 monitors.
Fan is LOUD.
For a GTX I was expecting more, even from a cheap card.
With only 1GB of RAM and 128bit, Mid-range classification is being generous.

Other Thoughts: If your going to be running any modern games, save your money.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor experience overall

Pros: I'm required to fill this in, but all I can say is PNY offers multiple rebates, but the product workmanship is shoddy. The 9800GT I bought from several years back, the fan malfunctioned in 3 months which I had to mod the card with an Arctic Cooler Accelero.

Cons: Ordered 2, 1 worked out of the box but the other card reboots desktop. 50% success product .. I will be thinking twice before buying from PNY again. I wasn't able to return the packaging intact to NewEgg, because I cut out the POP for rebate. I hope I still get a working graphics card anyway.

Other Thoughts: And the rebate - the company is so shady. The terms was a purchase from Nov. 16 - Dec 31, 2012. I purchased Dec 10, and they received the rebate info Dec 28th, AND I WAS DENIED, due to invalid date !!!

On some other reference they used - they told me that that the rebate expired Nov 30. Am I that stupid? I would buy something outside of the rebate time.

PNY - you have lost me as a future customer.

3 out of 5 eggsNo UEFI/GOP Support

Pros: Still a good, efficient card.

Cons: Even if your system has UEFI for fancy-schmancy Windows 8 features like Secure Boot and Ultra Fast Boot, you'll still need to have the VBIOS loaded via CSM mode in your BIOS: in other words, there is no UEFI Video BIOS on this card, so you have to load part of the BIOS layer to initialize the card (i.e. get any signal out of it).

Other Thoughts: I'm in touch with PNY's support about this issue; Nvidia says that Kepler-based chips should work fine with UEFI features; thus PNY will probably need to release a VBIOS update to enable GOP (and not VESA/BIOS) functionality. Windows 8 Secure Boot will be unavailable if you use this card.

4 out of 5 eggsGood upgrade

Pros: Got this for Christmas to replace the XFX 9800 GTX that was in my computer when I got it. This card being much shorter is a definite plus as the 9800 sat on top of my SATA ports. Now I don't have to pull the video card to do anything with SATA cables. I now only have to use 1 of the 6-pin power connectors which neatens up the inside of my case a little bit.
This card runs about the same temperatures during gaming but with much less fan noise which I like very much.

Cons: No SLI support.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value, modern tech

Pros: New, 28nm fab process, sips power, only 6" long, and can support 3 simultaneous displays, GDDR5, and well-supported by all 3 main OSes.

Cons: Takes up more than 1.5 PCI slots, so it doesn't fit in my Mini-ITX case. Bandwidth is only 128 bits, so don't expect the moon from this card. If you're not booting on the primary output, you may have difficulty.

Other Thoughts: This card doesn't support SLI...there are no headers onboard for the bridge.

5 out of 5 eggsBest 1 slot

Pros: Currently the best 1 slot, standard length video card.
2 DVI, 1 HDMI, beautiful fan, silent, 6 pin pci-e power

Cons: Only 1GB of ram but that's because gddr5 is so new and expensive.
Very confusing box, took me over 10 minutes to figure out how to open it, almost giving up and destroying it. It's a MAZE!

2 out of 5 eggsReturned

Pros: All the talks around it - new tech, PCIe 3x, size (but still using out both slots) - really nothing... ma ybe gaming but not believe so since WEI dropped so much...

Cons: Downgraded my system. I had two EVGA GTX460, added this one in hopes to maintain or improve the couple of new screens (not a gamer), My Windows Expierence Index dropped from 7.6 to 7.3 - my previous 7.6 was the bottleneck in my system but after this purchase at major retailer store - no way - returning it ASAP.

Other Thoughts: Did buy from retail store, accidentally got 2GB version, returning it ASAP.
Giving second egg for the fact it was working...

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Update to last review

Cons: Update to my last review, just noticed the driver CD was actually a blank burned DVD. Very unprofessional, was this made in a kid's basement?

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Raised my WEI score from my old ATI 3850.

Cons: Fan is louder than my old 3860 even though this supposedly draws less power. Went from a dead silent PC to one that sounds like my PS3

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mid-range card!

Pros: Great performance for an inexpensive midrange card. Runs cool and quiet on stock fan/heat sink.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: AMD 8120, 8 GB RAM, MSI 970A-G46, GTX 650
I replaced an AMD Radeon 5450 and saw a HUGE performance increase. Plays DVDs, streaming video, games, all apps (photoshop, FRAPS) flawlessly

This card should hold me over for a few years until I can change out all of my components for something higher end.
