The Geforce GTX 650 gives you a GTX gaming experience at a remarkable price. Based on the fast and efficient NVIDIA Kepler architecture, Geforce GTX 650 provides the perfect entry point to DirectX 11 and 1080p HD gaming in your favorite FPS and MMO games.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsPNY GeForce GTX 650 PCI-e 3.0 Video Card

Pros: Good looking card and (dare I say) sexy-looking cooling fan and shroud (although not what I was expecting; see below). I bought this to put a system together for my wife's WOW and Sims3 (eventually Sims4). She had been running the games on a 32-bit nVidia GT 9800 and a Socket AM2 Athlon dual-core processor and the old video card couldn't handle higher resolutions and/or game details and the load time on Sims3 was long enough she could go and do housework while waiting (true story). On her longer gaming sessions, the card would occasionally black out requiring a restart to recover video. With the new system, she's been able to set all the resolutions/details to max settings and the games run flawlessly. No issues with set up or driver installations. It just came out of the box and works.

Cons: The picture of the fan arrangement on Newegg's site documentation was not what we received. I bought the unit not only because of its stats but because the fan arrangement (ducted by a full card covering shroud) looked like those on higher end video cards. I felt that if the fan design worked on the higher end cards, it should do a good job of cooling this one. What we received was a very run of the mill surface mount heatsink fan arrangement; no ducting. Luckily, I had extra side cover cooling fans already planned into the project to help keep interior temps low. No problems with the cooling so far; it just didn't match the online photos and was not what I was expecting. I don't think it warrants losing an Egg in the ratings though.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for Buck

Pros: Great value for money. Perfect tester card for fleet of nvidia based machines. Handles low iteration gl tasks surprisingly well.
Very small form factor for horspower

Cons: nothing unexpected really.
fast for its price point but not a competitor with 680 or similar.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for budget gaming

Pros: Made the right choice when choosing this card. Hasn't given me any problems at all, has performed well beyond what I thought it would perform, and is well cooled (with a good case)

If you're looking for a decent card that can run games without a hitch, this is it. It may not be a FPS beast, but it is very acceptable for a decent gaming graphics card.

Cons: None. Card does what's needed.

Other Thoughts: Great purchase for my first budget build. Would recommend to anyone that isn't looking for an FPS monster.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value / Quality OK

Pros: Very Quiet. Seems to run cool. Nice graphics. $3.99 shipping and received it in 4 days also nice.

Cons: The Mini HDMI cable adapter included easily falls out when computer case is moved or if the HDMI wire is touched. It appears the socket is loose. Luckily I still had my DVI to HDMI adapter. I also didn't receive the free game that was billed at no extra charge when I purchased this video card.

Other Thoughts: It was easy to install. I didn't even have to update the driver. I was a little concerned because after installing and starting the machine the first time the graphics were all yellow. After restarting a second time that condition was corrected. Seems to be OK now. We'll see. Registration at PNY's site is easy but remember to write down your serial number before installing this card otherwise it may be necessary to remove it or like in my case get on the floor with a magnifying glass to write down the number that is pretty long and upside down.

1 out of 5 eggsWas a joke

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This card was a joke compared to my 2 year old Gtx 550 TI! My 550 got 20 more fps on the exact same settings on the exact same benchmarks!

Fan docent do justice for this got a lot hotter after a couple of minutes of benchmarking compared to my 550

Other Thoughts: save your money steer clear of this card
Gtx 550 Ti is a great card!

Specific games used in benchmarks are

5 out of 5 eggsVERY NICE.

Pros: I bought this on sale for no other reason than to have it. I took out my 770GTX to just see what this could do and open up some cooling space in my case. Now this card does not perform with the 770GTX but for the money it rocks. I will be keeping this card in instead of the 770.
Low power, much cooler than the higher end cards, small.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Runs World of Tanks at 60-80 fps maxed out. World of Planes is the same. HD movies look better coming from this than my Directv HD DVR.
My setup,
ASRock 990 extreme4
FX8350 CPU
Crucial Elite 8gb memory

Pros: idk never got it installed

Cons: not compatible with my set up unless i go in and change bios . not plug and play

Other Thoughts: it's not newegg's fault, called tech support and they gave me the bad news that it's not win 8 friendly
