Neat little card
- Pros: Cheaply priced, came with 512Megs of Ram, Bought as upgrade for when my 7300GT OC blew some capacitors and I was on a strict budget. Been playing games like Doom3, SWG, and EQ2 maxing it out as far as I could, and it performed beautifully.
I've been an Nvidia fan for years, I needed a cheap card that would do great things, and their 8400 was just what I needed.
- Cons: Cant say there are any cons.
- Other Thoughts: I'm keeping with Nvidia. Nothing else comes close.
- Pros: dirt cheap for this type of card
- Cons: complete and total failure, had to jiggle the monitor wire to get it to make a connection and the s-video port refused to work at all. Obviously the card was defective but if it passes ECS QA in this condition I can only assume others have as well
- Other Thoughts: as stated above card seemed to be built poorly and not inspected.
Love it
- Pros: Fast, cheap, powerful, and mine came with 512mb (gotta love when companies make mistakes and give you better stuff), kept me playing games even after my computer with an 8800 went down.
- Cons: Small fan on the heatsink really doesn't help out too much.
- Other Thoughts: Used in a computer that i really only use to surf the Internet and some light gaming, came in handy when my good computer fell apart on me.
