Pros: This card just popped right into my inspiron 530, no questions asked or needed, loaded the lastest drives from and bam!! Ive been playing Need For Speed Shift, Ghostbusters, and call of duty 4 and soon to be 5.

Cons: came very empty, no accessories, just a cd and the board.

Other Thoughts: . Great card and install.

Rig Specs:
Core2Quad 8200; 4GB RAM (1GBx4 soon to be 4GBx4) 500WDHD; and now a 9800GT 1 vid... Finally i can really GAME!~~~

5 out of 5 eggsBest Board Manuf.

Pros: Excellent Design. Runs Perfect out of the box. Installed i7 2.8g & 8Gb Ram, loaded Vista64bit & it's the fastest pc I built yet (out of thousands that I've built over the past few years...) Using one solo drive, and a 2 drives on a raid 0 setup as a data drive. Using it as a high def video editing machine... I have always liked ECS boards and will always recomend them...

Cons: Only one minor con, IDE interface is at the bottom of the board, so be sure to get a longer than normal IDE cable to reach the top of most cases. ie. The normal length of 18-24" not long enough...

Other Thoughts: Other than the IDE interface location, I loved everything else about it. Only wish it had another two sata ports to do some additional raid configs, but not really necissary...

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect OEM Upgrade

Pros: * Short for a 9800GT (easily fits in an medium sized HP case; originally thought it was going to block some of the SATA ports but was missed them by at least an inch)
* Runs cool even in a poorly ventilated case (65C when loaded, 51C normally)
* No external power necessary
* Quiet (dynamically controlled fan keeps it quiet when you are not playing games)
* Excellent performance for price

Cons: * No extras (no VGA adapter, games, etc)

Other Thoughts: I choose this particular video card because:
* Had a reputation of running cool (relatively)
* Was not excessivly long
* Was cheap given the performance

I am not at all disappointed. Note: it was installed in an HP a6200n desktop.

4 out of 5 eggsNice buy

Pros: Fan is low noise and has dynamic speed control so it only runs fast when things get hot. Nice feature is the board stiffener [metal support on the top] eases installation and stops any warping. Runs great on standard NVidia drivers and utilities. No external 12v power needed.

Cons: Comes with no accessories whatsoever, like DVI - VGA adapter. DVD has nothing useful on it and manual is generic for any ECS card.

Other Thoughts: This was a great card for the price, was easy to install, surprisingly quiet and ran 2 monitors with no problem. Heavy duty games like LOTRO can run in ultra high graphic mode with no lag. Nice!

1 out of 5 eggsSometimes fan does not work

Pros: Works well and stays cool when the fan is running

Cons: Sometime after power on, the fan does not start spinning and if I do not pay attention the card will overheat and shutdown when gaming.

It takes off if spin it with my finger but that should not happen on a new card.

Other Thoughts: Looking at RMA with ECS I will have to pay for return shipping on their faulty product. This is the second time I bought something from ECS that will probably require an RMA. Probably not buying again.

Manufacturer Response:
