1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was one of the few upgrades for my motherboard since it's an older model. Worked great for about half a year.

Cons: After a while it started crashing my computer. Even with the most recent driver installed, it continued to crash, rolling back my driver didn't prevent it either. Sometimes my monitor would enter power saving mode, even while actively being used, and I would have to restart the computer. This would happen while playing games or just checking my email. I'm really disappointed and I want my money back or a different video card entirely.

1 out of 5 eggsWas great for a while

Pros: It really boosted my system and was a huge upgrade from my old video card. Since my motherboard is an older model, this was one of the best boards I could purchase for it, and it was pretty good for about half a year...

Cons: But then I got a crash while playing a game. I didn't think much of it, that happens. I checked my drivers and updated accordingly. But it continually had problems, the graphics in the game would "dance" in random patterns, and I would have to restart the computer, even exiting the game wasn't enough to fix it. Then it started crashing constantly, causing my computer to restart with an error that I should update my drivers (which were up to date) or disable accelerated graphics. After that, my screen started going black for no reason, the monitor would enter power saving mode while I was actively using the computer, forcing me to restart. Currently all of these things are happening for me, I can't play any games anymore, and this happens while watching youtube videos, or just checking my email.

I'm really disappointing, I either want my money back, or a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I'm just glad I bought the service replacement plan.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsIt works. What else can I say.

Pros: Plugged it into a linux box and it worked like a champ.

Cons: Had some issue with nvidia Linux driver.

Other Thoughts: I had an issue with the nvidia Linux driver which is why I deducted an egg. Maybe it's because I have an old machine or whatever. I bought this because I needed any run of the mill AGP video card and this fit the bill.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal Waste

Pros: I can see my desktop!

Cons: Any load I put on this card, even trying to watch a video, reboots comp. Any game I try to play on this card reboots comp. I unplugged this junk and put comp back to lousy on-board video for now. I wasted my money buying this junk!

4 out of 5 eggsgood for retro computers

Pros: i am restoring a dell dimension 4300 and i used this card
runs better than the stock agp video card that dell used.

Cons: had trouble installing software on windows 2000 but i got it

Other Thoughts: works well with my old games for it was my sole purpose to insert this card in my old gaming machine. i do not recommend this for modern games though

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Works flawlessly on an old HP that is running Win 7.

Cons: None, other than if you are using AGP you probably have an older or low powered system.

Other Thoughts: My first experience with ECS and it has been positive. This is a decent card for my old computer and part of what will be its last upgrade. Can't complain though, this old HP has serve me well for 7 or 8 years, runs Win 7 fairly well. I will continue to use this as a secondary computer until it finally dies.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great little card for the money. low profile, easy to install. XP found drivers, no problem. Not good for high-end gaming, but I didn't expect it to be. Runs a little hot, but seems very sturdy. No problems yet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a decent card to go in an older machine, and don't plan on doing any hard core gaming, this is a good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked for a long time

Pros: Good for AGP or old systems

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I used this card in one of my old computers for 2 years at ridiculous temps (The computers fault not the card) and it never broke down once. Runs low LOW end games fairly well too.

By bad temps I mean REALLY bad
50-60c idle 70-85c while playing almost any game

I defiantly plan on buying all my new cards from ECS

5 out of 5 eggsMade a little boy very happy

Pros: - AGP 8x Graphics card w/512MB - not easy to find for this price.

- got a rebate that took more than 50% off

- low profile a plus.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Son couldn't run his games with the old MSI 64MB video card he was using (also needed more memory) replaced with this card and games were no problem...
