Pros: Works great for Folding@Home. I used this on az HTPC that I bought at an auction for a low price.
Found out this card is overclocked! :D Was the cheapest GTS250 that I could find!
Great for Flash Player 10.1 beta, which actually support GPU acceleration! (now I can actually watch 720p and up youtube videos without my computer throwing up all over the place).
Cons: I had never seen with my own eyes a card this new. It's big. I suppose this isn't a con; it's my own fault for not buying a card that would fit comfortably in this stupid HTPC case (I need to take a dremel to the back of the case and I can't fit an optical drive in there anymore, which isn't so bad since who uses optical media anymore? Just have a look at the price of harddrives nowadays)
Other Thoughts: If all you need is 1080p playback, don't buy this. I am not a big gamer and have not been able to make this card choke, aside from running folding@home on it. For those wondering about temps, it gets to about 178F on the folding@home GPU client. Seems to run fine at that temp. Unfortunately, the throttling feature of F@H is not very good, at least for this card, so I have to stop F@H when I want to watch any kind of video, whether I invoke DXVA/CUDA(CoreAVC) or not.
To those that want to just get 1080p, I would recommend something lower, like a 9500GT or 9400GT. Anything 8xxx and up supports CUDA, which if you own a copy of CoreAVC (or got it some other way...), it will decode it on your GPU, which saves your CPU for other business.
Now, if you don't mind ATI (Their cards are much more powerful, but their driver developers... are kinda terrible), you could get a Radeon HD 2xxx or up card (iirc) and it will support DXVA decoding in players such as Media Player Classic Home Cinema

Pros: It works great and good price.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Like other review says. It was a brand I had never tried of, ECS, so I was hesitate to buy it in the first place, but I'm glad I did. I may buy another one soon for SLI.
