2 out of 5 eggsScreen won't res until second boot

Pros: Spectacular graphics - especially #D animation. Dragon Age is flawless when spinning the room as fast as I can.

Cons: The screen never powers up on first boot. I always have to warm reset the computer to get the screen to display. I have 3 PCs and this card does this in all 3. My EVGA doesn't do this, neither does my MSI. I tried swapping all 3 of my cards around to each computer and this card has the same problem on all 3 computers and the other two do not have this problem on any of the 3 computers, that all use ASRock motherboards.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the display issue you are experiencing. If you haven't already, please contact us. We would like to work with you in finding a solution and if necessary providing an RMA.

1 out of 5 eggsGraphic Tearing and vid lag

Pros: Thought it was a good buy.

Cons: Almost a year and playing WoW I experience vid lag even on medium settings. Though the card is rated to run wow at high. battlefield 4 I have to run it on completely low settings and still have horrible frame rates. especially now with the new driver 331 game ready from NVidia themselves.

Other Thoughts: Personally I am seeking to try and get a replacement card. From what I can tell everything else in my computer is running at optimal. Plenty of venting and cooling. I am very disappointed with ECS elitegroup as their website is slow and links barely work. If this gets forwarded to them in some fashion I would like a replacement card of same type or close to as possible. Again seeking it through their website as well.

5 out of 5 eggsSneaky Newegg

Pros: Great card for the type of gaming and streaming I do ( handles Kerbal Space Program no problem). Quiet fan (comes with hitch, explained in the cons). And most important is that it fits my case with plenty of clearance.

Cons: I was surprised when I received my card and opened the box to not find the card pictured above but instead the Nvidia reference card version from ECS. As such the fan is not the same and is located at the very tip of the card making it longer by a few inches.

Other Thoughts: Being shipped a different version of the card is no big deal. It works flawlessly and stays cool. I wish every card were like that. I will be swapping this out to another rig and installing an EVGA gtx 660 2gb card in it's spot, but in no way is it not going to be used and enjoyed.

1 out of 5 eggsSpecific Issue - Be Warned!!

Pros: Decent price, solid build to the card itself.

Cons: If you use a Wacom Cintiq DO NOT buy an NVIDIA product! You've been warned! They do not support DVI signals from the Cintiq & only read up as VGA. Because they aren't VGA displays the screen is exceptionally dimly lit.

Other Thoughts: I, like many others here, am frustrated at the notion that I just went out and purchased a NVIDIA product I can't use.. I am running a Wacom Cintiq 20wsx on a GeForce GTX 560 & the screen is insanely dim. The reason it finds itself this way is the graphics driver is interpreting the signal from the monitor as VGA even though it's hooked up as DVI. Now what really has me upset & contemplating simply returning this card and being done with NVIDIA is that when I did a Google search it appears this problem stems back as far as 2010 with no fix added to newer drivers! The "solution" in every case I read was to install old and outdated drivers from the NVIDIA driver archive & the graphics card will display to the monitor as DVI. That answer is truly unacceptable..

3 out of 5 eggsGood card overall.

Pros: Good card for the price, can run any major title out right now at max settings without a hiccup.

Cons: Honestly none that I can think of. It is a rather large card though, so if your limited on space keep that in mind. I barely had enough slack to plug in my motherboard 24pin.

Other Thoughts: I believe my card is defective and am going to have to contact the manufacturer for an RMA. My computer crashes randomly while the card is in use. I would have rated 5 stars if not for this issue. Depending on how their customer support on these types of issues depends on r whether they get more eggs, or less.

5 out of 5 eggsUPDATE: Driver problem resolved

Pros: N/A

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Issue resolved. Downloaded 314.07 drivers, card works flawlessly. Stock drivers 311.06 are from the Windows update server. It seems that Nvidia never updated the Windows server with anything else. If you get this card, I implore you to test out different drivers before giving up. This card is very, very good.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy Gamer.

Pros: Solid, quality built piece of gear. Even the frigging box this bad boy comes in is quality built.

Much quieter, at both idle and under heavy load, than my previous gpu.

Stays pretty cool.

Running my all my games at max settings with no issues (multiple mmorpg's, Skyrim, Diablo3,etc.).

Load times have been quick.

Got it on sale!

Cons: None so far. It has handled everything I've thrown at it with ease.

Other Thoughts: This card has replaced my 9800 GTX which served my loyaly through thousands of hours of online gaming (with progressively lower settings mind you).

I needed a card that coud handle games on max settings now and that was SLI friendly so I can grab another in a few months to be set for games yet to be released.

This card fit the bill while being very friendly to my wallet. Happy customer.

1 out of 5 eggsUnstable Card, ECS No Help

Pros: Apparently this card works well most of the time for most people.

Cons: Since installing this card, I experience mouse sticking and BSODs regularly.

ECS hasn't provided anything other than an automated response to the help ticket I submitted.

Other Thoughts: After installing the GTX560 on my EVGA motherboard (EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard), and installing the drivers that came on the CD, I began experiencing mouse sticking--both in games and even with a single instance of Firefox running and no games. The mouse pointer would change to the crossbar followed by the bit mapping behaving erratically (e.g. changing colors, size, look, responsiveness). The sticking/lagging was followed by freezing and finally BSODs. I tried installing the newest drivers from the NVIDIA website (versions: 320.18, 320.49, 326.01). For each I did a custom clean install and unchecked the 3D drivers since I do not have a 3D monitor. Some builds were slightly more stable than others but all continued having BSODs every few hours. I then updated the BIOS to the latest for the EVGA motherboard as well as the latest chip-set and HD audio drivers. I even tried working with an NVIDIA rep to no avail. As far as I can tell, there shouldn't be any compatibility issues with my setup and this card so I can only assume that the card is dying/not functioning properly.
