5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap way to add dual monitor support to an older computer.

Cons: Not a great performer.

Other Thoughts: It is a good card as long as you understand what you are getting. I believe that the main use case for this card is multi monitor support on a machine that only has PCI slots.

1 out of 5 eggsSluggish, un-usable

Pros: None

Cons: New build including this card. Windows 7 would not install, infinite reboot loop. Removed card, installed Windows 7. Added card, Windows recognized and installed drivers. System was slow afterwards. Mouse paused, video sluggish. Removed card, computer flies with integrated GigaByte Mobo video. Downloaded latest drivers, re-tested, same results. I opened a ticket with Jaton. I will try the Jaton VIDEO-PX628-DT PCI-E.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card at a good price

Pros: Easy installation, dual monitor support (VGA), supports many resolutions and reasonable price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I needed a new video card for my desktop that I use to work at home and wanted something that could support 2 VGA monitors and a 1600x900 resolution. I also didn't want to spend a bundle and needed something that would work in a PCI slot. Problem solved - the new card went in without a hitch and the graphics look great. The price was entirely right as well. A winner!

2 out of 5 eggsworks fine, but noisy

Pros: It works - was plug-and-play after installing drivers.

Cons: Fan makes an obnoxious high-pitched whine. I didn't notice it until a coworker said something, and then I couldn't ignore it. Had to take it out.

Other Thoughts: I got it to be able to run two monitors on my work desktop, not to do any high-performance graphics processing, so I can't speak to those capabilities. It worked, but the noise was a deal-breaker. Back to one monitor...

5 out of 5 eggsDoes Exactly What I Need it to Do.

Pros: *Very affordable
*Works perfectly for a client of mine who needed dual monitor support on an office workstation

Cons: *No complaints from her, so none from me!

Other Thoughts: *Obviously not for intense performance demands, will work perfectly if you don't have on-board dual monitor support.
*A much better alternative to an external dual monitor adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Duel Monitor Card

Pros: We use this card in our new business PC's to give them duel monitor capabilities, and so far after around 10 installations, can say nothing bad about the cards. Obviously no gaming going on in our workplace, but we've put anything from old 15" monitors, to 22" widescreens, and it renders them all perfectly in a wide variety of resolutions.

Cons: Have gotten a few DOA's, but that's not newegg's fault so no eggs off. NewEgg always rocks for speedy RMA's.

Other Thoughts: Putting these into new business class HP Desktops. Windows 7 recognizes them immediately and Windows Updates loads the newest drivers. Easy as it gets for business duel monitors.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat video card

Pros: Great dual display video card. Supports 2 very high resolution monitors for extended desktop. I had 2 older LCD monitors lying around and the dual VGA outputs drive them without disabling on board video the way a PCI-E x16 card would.

Cons: Bought this card for the PCI slot in my Dell D-Dock laptop docking station but it doesn't work there. A previous review stated that it takes more power than a docking station can provide, but I was hoping it was a different docking station. Not a con on the part of Newegg or Jayton.

Other Thoughts: Works great the HTPC in my computer room. I am driving a pair of spare monitors with LONG VGA cables to a desk. With a Bluetooth keyboard mouse combo I have added a dual screen internet station without buying a new system

3 out of 5 eggsGood card for the extra monitors

Pros: I needed two more monitors for my day trading platform. Didn't need the speed on this server so this works good for me. Has the resolutions that I need for the older monitors I tied in.

Cons: I actually bought this for my laptop docking station, however it drew too much power for that. I decided to put it in my old tower.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: 6200 nVidia engine * 512MB RAM * Twin VGA output * Cooled by fan that does not require extra power * Standard PCI * The Price

This is a very good card for someone with an older machine or just a limited budget.

Cons: The drivers on the CD are woefully outdated! But with Windows XP or Vista, the machine will automatically ask to look for the best drivers online. I highly recommend allowing this.

Other Thoughts: Not really a Con so I'll put it here.

I had to have one monitor connected to the on board VGA out and the other monitor connected to the new card, then I had to manually disable the old on board graphics. Then, when I plugged in the second monitor, I had to go into the nVidia control panel and manually configure the settings to view both monitors.

Like I said, this isn't really a con, at least for me. But I think it's worth mentioning to save others an unwanted headache.
