The Video-228PCI Series video accelerators are excellent 2D/3D multimedia video adapters for PCI local bus desktop PCs. Based on nVIDIA GeForceFX 5200 core technology, built-in with 128MB DDR memory module, these video cards will provide multiple display outputs onboard for Dual RGBout (Twin). As the previously core technology from nVIDIA, the GeForceFX 5200 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) shakes up the gaming industry with its extremely performance, unusual visual effects, and speedy frame rates-injecting life into the artificial world of computer-generated graphics.

The significant enhancement is the new high quality image control. The nVIDIA GeForceFX 5200 GPU has added two more rendering pipelines and the DirectX 8-compliant T&L unit into its graphic engine, which enables the maximum flexibility and high quality 4Xs mode control capabilities; gathered with the data bus Double Data Rate RAM (DDR) circuit, the PC users can ultimately enjoy the virtual environment of 3D scenes, and ambiance textures appear photo-realistic and custom lighting heightens at a highest resolution with astonishingly fast frame refresh rate. Another feature of the Video-228PCI Series is the video accelerator, which integrates the HDVP (High Definition Video Processor) and DVD (Digital Versa Display) for video playback with higher definitions at greatly increased frame rates.

A leverage of the combination of hardware and software technology, nVIDIA GeForceFX 5200 GPU will provide many of the new features and benefits you look for in your desktop computing as well as the best performance, combining usual quality and exceeding crisp resolution. With all of this, the Video-228PCI Series video cards bring a new level of graphics accomplishment and flexibility to the mainstream desktop PC market!

1 out of 5 eggsNot performing properly on arrival

Pros: I believe this is a good item, it was just received with the second VGA output not working. The power requirements are good and it works in older 'repurposed' computers.

Cons: Second VGA output wasn't working on arrival

4 out of 5 eggsWorked As Advertised

Pros: plug and play worked fine after installing drivers that came along with the installation CD.

Cons: was able to run league of legends game on lowest setting...but kind of expected for a pci more of a pro than a con.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: Cheap, Works, Better Than On board Intel Graphics.

Cons: No cons, due to the pci slots capabilities. this card takes full advantage of them.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy if you're a high end gamer. works well with games made from (2005) and down on max settings (if overclocked) the one I got included a CD with overclocking software.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: excellently priced dual head video card. Does exactly what I need it too. No more, no less.

Cons: When i first received the card, the faceplate was bent enough it ran into the motherboard. Bent it back, all better now. No biggie.

4 out of 5 eggsit works well

Pros: It works fine with my 2 monitors, one old and one new.

Cons: It didn't come with any instructions and since my computer had an integrated video card it took me a while to figure out how to get it to work. Eventually I figured out that what should have been obvious and what I thought I had already tried, that everything had to be off and the card put in and both monitors hooked to it then turned on and configured.

Pros: Setup and install went fine.

Cons: After about 6 weeks it started making a load vibrating sound on start up. I think I will warranty it when the semester it over.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: This card is cheap and is simple as plugging it in and your viewing two monitors. The card is plug and play (with XP). The software makes it easy to work with. I love it. If you want more than 1 monitor and don't want to spend much money-get this card.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsSomewhat nice...but has a problem

Pros: The card worked very well right out of the box. Very little installation needed, just drivers and I was up and running my dual-monitor. I don't play games or use any high graphics, just the typical DVD, internet and school stuff. Worked nice....but.....

Cons: Now, 14 months later, the fan has gone to poop. It makes this really annoying rattling/vibrating sound, and it's drivin me crazy. I'm using my laptop only right now because I'm awaiting my new video card I bought yesterday. Lasted for a long time. I tried tinkering with the screws, seeing if anything was loose, but couldn't locate anything. Not a bad buy for $75.

Other Thoughts: Might as well pay the additional money and get the Dual DVI-I cards now since they can send both signals. Wouldn't want the fan thing to happen to you either, so maybe just opt for soemthing else? Your call. Clarity was fine, but like I said, I didn't do any games or high-graphic stuff. Might work well for the everyday-browser person just checking the mail or doing homework.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card. I've bought over 20 of them. Decent amount of memory to get you started down the road of dual monitors on your desktop. An overwhelming amount of configuration options. Good price.

Cons: None so far.
