5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: cheap , small , although the heatsink looked questionable i applied some asc5 and temps have been very good.have been running overclocked to 730/880 since day one without any problems.i'm sure it will go farther buts thats the highest allowed by ccc and i've been to lazy to try another overclocker.

Cons: mail in rebate.

Other Thoughts: i was worried at first with the small pcb and low amount/poor reviews but so far this thing rocks.

i'm scoring near 11k on 3d2006 with a daul core running 3300 mhz.

1 out of 5 eggsA Bad Card

Pros: Was a good Price plus a Rebate, nice. at the time was the cheapest 3850 I could find.

Cons: at first, everything would look great until the scren would black out for a few seconds. when it would come back on it would look fine until it would black out again a few seconds later. I tried to update the drivers but it made things worse instead of the screen blacking out the whole system would freeze.

Other Thoughts: I have a new 500 Watt power supply with Pci Express connectors so the card was not under powered. I would rather spend the little extra money to get a better card now that prices have lowered some.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is short and cheap and runs just fine with my Intel q6600 idles at 53C climes to 79C after gaming several hours. It can OC very nicely haven't pushed it hard and it is running at 720/1800.

Cons: Some people haven't had any luck with these cards but mine runs just fine.

Other Thoughts: Scores 10K in 3dmark06
Intel Q6600
Apollo 3850
Msi Slimline 965
2 Gig ram

2 out of 5 eggsCoulda been a contender...

Pros: Short, cheap, good performance for the cost - if the rebate comes thru

Cons: Stock fan a bit loud for my application - SFF a couple fo feet away. The killer, though, is it causes my system to sometimes spontaneously reboot when entering or exiting 3D games/apps

Other Thoughts: I'm RMA'ing this... if the replacement board is good, and if the rebate is honored, then this was a very good deal. The thing about this card that really caught my eye was the length - a couple of inches shorter than normal, which made it excellent for my SFF. It's a little bit shorter than my 7900gt. Unfortunately, as others have experienced, there's the "spontaneous reboot" problem, which seems specific to this brand/pcb.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I have run Crysis, HL:2, Quake Wars all perfectly. The card OCs very well. Make sure you have an adequate power supply. Crysis at 1280x1024 Medium = Great gameplay. HL:2 1280x1028 flawless. Overall very happy with my purchase. Very quite even under load. When the rebate comes back this card would get 6 eggs from me.725/900 STABLE above that and the 1 fps extra you get isn't worth the additional strain on the card components.

Cons: Card can be a little unstable at HIGH overclock, but what card isn't? Shows up at 1gb in ATI catalyst, but 512mb in Riva. Horrible company website. Wish it would have come with a HDMI adapter. None of the cons affect the cards performance, which is why I still gave it 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why people have bashed this card. It's worked great for me and several others. I think that it may be due weak power supplies or people try to run it way too high of an OC. Overall, I recommend this card and the rebate only sweetens the deal!
