Great set of
- Pros: Everything and short enough for my HTPC.
- Cons: none yet
- Other Thoughts: bought set of these to replace my set of hd2600.no regrets yet but will let you know if any funky comes about.
Great Deal
- Pros: Bought this card because no 8800 cards or other 3870 cards would fit on my motherboard PCI-e slot! (They were all too long) Was wary of Apollo name
but installed easily, downloaded drivers from ati.amd website, and fully maxed out COD4 and played 8 hours straight without even a slight stutter. I had no idea the beautiful graphics of COD4 until I fired up this card! And of course Newegg 3-day delivery always turns into next day for me (Jersey) , cheaper than paying $3.30 a gallon and trekking to the brick and mortal shops! Can't miss!
- Cons: Newegg didn't send a beautiful woman to personally install it for me.
- Other Thoughts: There is some 3rd party software embedded in the driver CD, dont use it. Get updated drivers from AMD website (Catalyst)..
Works great
- Pros: You get what you pay for, the card does everything your told it's going to.
It runs at 40 degrees C right out of the box, if you're having problems with temperatures I reccomend downloading a fan tuner, though.
It runs COD4 at all max graphics with ease, and it looks kinda nice too.
- Cons: I had to buy a splitter because my PSU is so ancient that it only had 2 rails, Heh. Not related to the card.
Some of the heat fins came bent, but only slightly, they were easy to unbend; I'd consider that a shipping error.
