4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget card

Pros: Works perfect! It can play any of the new games I tried (2007 on) on highest settings at 1440x900, even with 2x-4x AA, and works wonders! I've not had stutter, lag, or anything of the sort while playing many of the top end games with this card! For the price, you are getting an amazing deal, plenty to play the newest games at great detail!

Cons: The only thing is that the heatsink was painted, and a few times out of the few months I've had it I've had video card related crashes... Though admittedly they are driver related, which really can't be helped.

Other Thoughts: If only the memory was 256 bit, then this card would be amazing. Then again, it's hardly noticeable, at all.

Thanks, Newegg, for the amazing card.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: price

Cons: a little loud

Other Thoughts: needed cheap card that did not require a additional power source. All in all a decent card if silence in not required

5 out of 5 eggsSuffers at higher resolutions

Pros: Cheap card. Lowest power usage (its about the same as a 4770 or even a 4350 at idle. Its a very efficient card)
Less memory gives you more memory in 32-bit vista. (If you are using 32 bit every MB of graphics memory takes away a MB of system memory that you can use up to the 4GB limit)
Was worried about the fan, but its quiet.

Cons: THIS CARD ONLY HAS 256MB of RAM
Because of this, it suffers greatly at higher resolutions. At 1080p GRID is unplayable at any setting (it is crealy using system ram at this point). At 720p it can max out the settings. (to even try to play GRID at the higher resolutions you have to hack a config file to allow it)

Other Thoughts: Bought this as an HTPC card that would occasionaly let me play games. 720p is fine for me in games. My TV really isn't big enough to see a difference anyway. Quite happy.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card... at factory settings.

Pros: This card lets me run Left 4 Dead settings related to the video card on max settings. Seeing as L4D is the newest, most system-intensive game I play, I'm satisfied with that.

Also, three actually USEFUL video outputs is a wonderful thing.

Cons: THIS CARD DOES NOT HANDLE OVERCLOCKING WELL. I was overclocking it at max through Catalyst Control Center and, while it took it fine during THAT session, as soon as I rebooted, the video froze. I could still use the computer (as evidenced by the system still making sounds), but the screen went psycho on me. It continued freezing every time I'd reboot until I went into safe mode and reset everything, then tried again. BE CAREFUL OVERCLOCKING!

Also, it is NOT copper. It is all painted to LOOK copper, but none of the actual components are made of copper.

Other Thoughts: Catalyst Control Center claims I have 959MB video memory. Not sure what that's about, but if that's somehow true, I'll take it! Memory clocks at 900MHz, can be overclocked to 1150MHz... if you're willing to risk it. Core clock is 750MHz, can be overclocked to 850.

I'm running at 950 and 775, respectively, and it's working fine so far.

5 out of 5 eggsThis Thing Is Great!!!!

Pros: This card replaced GeForce 9600 GSO 384 mb!! Still not a bad card tho! Got new Motherboard and ram so i got new card too(why not)! I was expecting to be unhappy with after i tried 4650 asus ( friend bought off me and loves it for videos/movies and bought gefoce 9600) it but i really like it alot! Almost picture perfect!! This card gives better picture in games but i only got to play NFS Undercover cuz hard drive crashed after 2 weeks

Cons: u didnt buy it yet!!!

Other Thoughts: As above it handlse NFSUC at high settings. Without a good video card u will hit stuff u cant see so get a good card and raise ru settings. Handles max Resolution 1650x1440 or somthin like that very well!!!
System see this card as 512mb instead of 256mb. Play for long hours and never above 40 celcius

After i get my new hard drive i will repost with better results

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT!

Pros: Arrived super quick (next day shipping for us in NV). Opened the box, plugged it in, installed latest drivers from ATI/AMD site, and BOOM... Worked like a charm. I'm getting great play on COD4 (only game on my fresh machine so far) with options turned up. Card is very cheap with the rebate @ $49 + s/h (as long as you get it by the 31st of May). Couldn't ask for more... its my first ATI card ever, and I'm very impressed!

Cons: It still doesn't do my laundry or dishes... but that technology is still very cutting edge and I don't have the cash for the "ATI Radeon LD9552 40gB 2gB DDR15 PCI Express 16.1 x 128 Laundry and Dish Washing Special". Maybe some day...

Other Thoughts: Great mid-range card... as stated about 50 times in these reviews. Cheap and very good out of the box. But it if you need a good card to handle recent games! Overall a very nice upgrade on an older system...

P4 2.4gHz
Biostar P4M90-M4 Motherboard (last of the P4's)
4gB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 667 (only 3.5 of which is registered in XP 32)
350W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsBang Bang

Pros: My MB burned so im buying ASRock A780GMH motherboard, with G Skill 4 GB ram (2x2GB).
And im going to swapp my EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO for this card. With this MB and card i can run Hybirde or use the card alone(main reason for the switch). My CPU is AMD 9600x4 Phenome. i've done enough research to know that this set up will be awsome!!!

Cons: I have bought an ASUS 4650 before for gaming i thought it would be better than my stock Radeon 2400xt, but it was not meant for gaming(no research before hand). A friend bought it off of me for mainstream video and loves it!!! Sadly as i read on alot of reviews now i see many ppl do not research what they buy or understand what they buy. Example chipsets: AMD has 790(fx,GX), 780(G,V), 750 and so on.
Each chipset is different and for diff apps and designed for diff FSB speeds.

Other Thoughts: Ppl need to realy start reading up on what they want to buy!!! And read up on it as well to understand what they are buying. And then ppl will start buying what fits them and stop giving bad reviews on very good products!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: Benchmarked at 8120 3D Benchmark06, and 234 frames per second in HL2 Lost Coast. Not bad for a video card that does not need a 6 pin power adapter.

Cons: My friend keeps asking to borrow it since his 6800 Ultra is nearly worthless.

5 out of 5 eggsGDDR4

Pros: This card has GDDR4 memory. Based on reviews, 256MB of GDDR4 memory will outperform 512 GDDR3 memory in every benchmark. This card also shares 256MB of system memory, if needed. Don't waste your money on cards with GDDR2 memory, even high end cards are hard pressed to use more then 512MB of GDDR2 memory in games and application, usually less then 256MB of GDDR2 can be in use at any time.

Cons: a 4670 is mid-range card, but you already know that

Other Thoughts: You get playable frame rates in COD4 & other games. Doesn't need an external 6 pin, so it will work well on older 300-400 watt power supplys. Nvidia has not come out with a new mid range card in years, so ATI has taken a firm lead. This card easliy beats the 9600GSO - which requires a 6 pin! I will update my review with benchmarks on this card in a week or so. I am guessing that you will get about 80-100 FPS on HL2 Lost Coast.

5 out of 5 eggsHeck yeah!

Pros: Great quality for the price. I also have a Micro-ATX Mobo, so I can't use the longer cards. I don't care that this bad boy eats up it's neighboring PCI (not PCIX) slot, it's worth it! Good overall gaming quality, amazing HD playback. Crisp and smooth.

Cons: Didn't come with free bacon

Other Thoughts: Threw into an Intel dual core E2200 with 4 GB RAM & Vista x64, no problems, probably going to add more RAM eventually, but this system flys for now, and does what I need (some gaming, TONS of HD playback.
