Great budget card
- Pros: Works perfect! It can play any of the new games I tried (2007 on) on highest settings at 1440x900, even with 2x-4x AA, and works wonders! I've not had stutter, lag, or anything of the sort while playing many of the top end games with this card! For the price, you are getting an amazing deal, plenty to play the newest games at great detail!
- Cons: The only thing is that the heatsink was painted, and a few times out of the few months I've had it I've had video card related crashes... Though admittedly they are driver related, which really can't be helped.
- Other Thoughts: If only the memory was 256 bit, then this card would be amazing. Then again, it's hardly noticeable, at all.
Thanks, Newegg, for the amazing card.
- Pros: price
- Cons: a little loud
- Other Thoughts: needed cheap card that did not require a additional power source. All in all a decent card if silence in not required
Suffers at higher resolutions
- Pros: Cheap card. Lowest power usage (its about the same as a 4770 or even a 4350 at idle. Its a very efficient card)
Less memory gives you more memory in 32-bit vista. (If you are using 32 bit every MB of graphics memory takes away a MB of system memory that you can use up to the 4GB limit) Was worried about the fan, but its quiet.
- Cons: THIS CARD ONLY HAS 256MB of RAM
Because of this, it suffers greatly at higher resolutions. At 1080p GRID is unplayable at any setting (it is crealy using system ram at this point). At 720p it can max out the settings. (to even try to play GRID at the higher resolutions you have to hack a config file to allow it)
- Other Thoughts: Bought this as an HTPC card that would occasionaly let me play games. 720p is fine for me in games. My TV really isn't big enough to see a difference anyway. Quite happy.
