Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: BIOSTAR V6802XE21 GeForce 6800XE 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card (Last years' Newegg stock) Newagg superior cost, and quick delivery. Reasonable cost, easy set up, I used as upgrade for the integrated video on a 2003 ver. on ASUS VN 266 motherboard installed in tall tower case w/ twin cooler fans. always ran cool. Video card performed well over it's short life.

Cons: Quit after 10 months.

Other Thoughts: Reviews here and at other sites indicate these Biostar cards are not reliable products.

Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: lots of features. able to change many settings. easy to unlock and overclock.

Cons: Poor quality caps. cap exploded one day rendering it useless. even tried replacing the cap but it took out the whole card.

Other Thoughts: Worked great until it died. but since you get no warning other that the smell of burning components it's a risky buy.

Dead - It was just a baby!

Pros: It worked like a champ while it worked. Absolutely no complaints about the picture.

Cons: Ran hot. Actually had to add fans to my case (which is why I got 2.5 years out of it?).

Other Thoughts: Like other reviewers, it just died one day. Wasn't even gaming. My screen froze and that was it. Upon reboot of my system, a black screen. Came here looking for another and now see that death is inherent with this card, so will be looking for a different one. Too bad. It IS a good card when it works, but for the price, it should never die!
