Simple and effective!

Pros: This card worked exactly as stated, ran cool and completely silent (no fans). Linux saw it no problem and is currently doing its thing in my brand new server.

Cons: Had slight trouble screwing it into the case, the hole did not line up very well - not a huge deal though. I grabbed my trusty 3lbs hammer and that solved it no problem - but seriously, it wasn't bad. And no - I didn't use a hammer in PC building.

Other Thoughts: I doubt this card would play minesweeper at max resolutions, but works great for a generic desktop use where graphics aren't imporant.

2.4 Vista Rating

Pros: I bought this for a friend's comp that had built in graphics. The rating was only 3.2 for the built in, so I thought this card would improve it. It raised the rating to 2.4. The video works fine, as the owners are not into video games and mostly use their comp for business. I assume the ratings issue is Vista related and not the cards fault.

Cons: The drop in ratings when installing this card was surprising. I let Vista get new drivers from the mfg website and got the same rating as off the CD.

Other Thoughts: Did I mention the Vista rating of 2.4? Newegg delivered on time as usual.

Inexpensive - Linux ready

Pros: Worked right out of the box with Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 beta. Not a barn burner, but does what is necessary.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Good value for a no frills system. Would not use for any sort of serious gaming.
