4 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Card

Pros: - 512MB GDDR3
- No external power required
- Worked with no problems
- Very cheap
- Quiet

Cons: - Was expecting faster GDDR3

Other Thoughts: Well I ordered this specific card and received the Biostar 9500GT with the copper color heatsink. Not that this bothered me but what did bother me was the fact that I looked on Biostar's web site and they stated that this video card had 1800Mhz GDDR3 and even looking at others it showed they had 1600Mhz GDDR3 but when I checked mine (using GPU-Z) it showed 1400Mhz. Just keep that in mind when buying this product. I have not tested the HDMI but don't expect any problems with it. In regard to some other reviews of this card. IF you are disappointed with the fact that the HDMI don't have audio and only after calling tech support you find out you need a cable from the card to your mobo or sound card and it isn't included and you rated yourself "HIGH OR SOMEWHAT HIGH" for tech knowledge you need to open your eyes.. Ignorance... READ THE PACKAGE CONTENTS... Plus if you knew anything you would know that the 9xxx series of nvidia cards all need the HDMI audio cable... For the money it's great.

1 out of 5 eggsScewed up business

Pros: 512mb ddr3
128bit
HDMI

Cons: No HDMI audio unless you buy the cord from biostar them self and even when you buy it directly from them for this card is doesn't even fit on well. So far HDMI sound seems fine tho with the wrong cable.

PC freezes with this card after playing a new game like battlefield 2 for a while. First screen goes blank then after a few seconds the rest of the PC functions freeze(sound activity lights).

Other Thoughts: After getting the wrong cable that not in the manual or even the website, freezing while playing games and messed up phone support system. I don't know if I'll be buying from biostar again nor getting them for any of my customers. They even told me on the phone that I had to bend a pin on the card to get THEIR cable to fit what kind of messed up company is this.

5 out of 5 eggs9500 GT

Pros: Works without problems, didn't cost a fourtune.

Cons: Not so sure about the GDDR3...

Other Thoughts: I read alot of reviews on vid cards that were around the 50 dollar range and this one says it has GDDR3 but the box it came in says DDR3. I saw another review where a guy was saying that there is a difference between the two. I ran 3D M*rk 06 and it says memory speed is 800mhz. I bought this card because I thought it had faster memory than the other cards in the same price range. I put the video card in my sons computer and it plays all his games well, all in all it's a ok card if you are on a tight budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price

Pros: Got this for the kids computer to upgrade their old x1300 from years ago. Now there is no trouble watching Hulu, and Netflix like before it was unwatchable stutter and sound never matched up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For the price and easy HDMI output and one simple digital connect for HDMI audio this is a great card that should satisfy anyone looking for value priced card.

5 out of 5 eggsgood for Win7

Pros: no need external power
run 6.4 on win7 index
win7 detects the card and installs the driver
good for light games
very quite

Cons: OC software from the installation disk doesn't run under win7

Other Thoughts: this card is for my 4 years old computer (AMD 939). It has onboard G6100. install this card bump the graphic index from 2.0 to 6.4. I am very happy.

I play light games (such as AOE). now the game is very smooth.

I haven't tried the HDMI port. I hope it works :-)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome esp for $$

Pros: -Cost $55 and free shipping!
-Good Performer
-HDMI
-AWESOME in WINDOWS 7 64bit with only 2GB ram

Cons: nope

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a replacement for an 8600GT OC as i was having some issues. Put this in and had the same issue (in XP 32bit), so decided to boot into WIN 7, 64bit, it loaded drivers, rebooted and so far works great. In windows 7 this card seems to fly, and plays WoW much better. Keep in mind, this is the exact same WoW install i run when i boot to WIN XP. So in short, on my setup, this card runs better then my 8600GT in WIN 7. I will replace the power supply just to make sure but i dont think its an issue. A stock Dell 305w can push about 400watts and with this card that is plenty
NEWEGG still ROCKS!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent budget card

Pros: Powerful for the price.
Easy install of hardware and software.
Plays COD-WaW maxed except AA very smoothly at 1600x900, with only a gig of DDR400 ram and a Athlon 3200+ on XP
Runs on low power - this setup has the stock 250W PSU, and does not require a PCI-e power connector.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: have not tried the HDMI connector or running Crysis -- yet

3 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for

Pros: Overall the card works pretty good for the price. Remember you get what you pay for... With that in mind, I personallly rate my cards on how they perform in games.
I was able to run Left 4 Dead on the highest settings and average between 25-60fps. This is pretty good considering my 9800GT is only slightly higher.

Cons: HDMI does not output audio...
After talking with Biostar support about this, they claim you need a SPDIF cable connection from your motherboard to the video card. Apparently there is a 2-pin connector on the video card for this, which is nowhere to be found in the manual. Also, there is no real support page for this card. Only the 256mb version. In addition, the support page does not mention anything about a SPDIF cable for audio output. I find this very frustrating considering Biostar claims 7.1 channel output over HDMI.

Other Thoughts: Again, you get what you pay for. Cheap card, cheap website, which lacks valuable information. I would have rated this card 5 out of 5 if the SPDIF cable was included with the purchase and the manual indicated how this connection should have been made.
