Not quite up to standards
- Pros: Good video card for the money and it will play most formats well including Blu-ray and HD DVD.
- Cons: This card has trouble with exclusive full screen mode and gets a bit loud. Plays back can be pixelated when there shouldn't be, even after making several adjustments. I only noticed this in full screen exclusive mode. Playing H.264 seems to tax it a bit, but does get the job done, but not the best of quality. It failed to play AVCHD discs several times in PowerDVD Ultra 7 causing a complete system lock several times, causing me to do the famous 4 second power button hold to restart my system.. In Total Media, very glitchy will most formats.
- Other Thoughts: If you need a cheap card that plays back non intensive video, it's not a bad card. However, it does not live up to the hype that ATI posts for their 4600 series on their site.. The power supply rating is 450, while should be only 400 for other 4600 cards in it's class. The card can be noisy when doing playing back exclusive full screen mode, H264, and AVCHD..
