5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I system is using 3 - 24" monitors at a resolution of 5760X1080 (eyefinity). Call of Duty and Rift plays incredibly smooth. It is great that i have been playing my games with this card and no crashes so far.

Cons: Fairly Large Card

Other Thoughts: I liked the card so much I bought another one on order to crossfire. I am not seeing much of an improvement in my games. not enough to notice a considerable difference.

3 out of 5 eggsWhat's that? I can't hear you...

Pros: ... over this thing's fan.

Cons: Overclocks decently from the stock 900MHz but you'll never find out because the cooling is woefully insufficient. A more aggressive fan profile (get MSI's Afterburner, Biostar can't be bothered to provide a utility) can prevent you from shutting down due to overheat, but be prepared for noise, and lots of it. This thing's fan is literally the only part of my system I can hear - and boy can I hear it.

Other Thoughts: This is the cheapest 6870 (at least, it was when I bought it) for a reason. Reference cooling on this thing just is not good enough. Spend a little more, get a better-cooled card.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card so far!

Pros: Much more powerful than my last graphics card (5670). Plays Deus Ex: Human Revolution on maximum with very little stutter (which I think is due to my processor not the graphics card). I don't agree with other review about the loud fan - mine is quiet as a whisper so far and my case is right next to me on my desk. Overall I am enjoying this graphics card and have high expectations for Rage and Skyrim coming out soon.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I was a little concerned about the brand, but was pursuaded by the great deal I got which included Deus Ex: HR and also a nice rebate. I'm glad I went with this one over others.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card

Pros: Card is great. Runs Bad Company 2 at 1920x1080, MAX settings at 55+ fps. Looks great, with the flat black and red accents. Overclocks decently, decided not to go to far, but could probably handle it. Can't wait to see how it handles Battlefield 3. Buy it!

Cons: Was a little iffy on the brand, but turned out to be a great purchase. May even go crossfire!

Other Thoughts: Buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Card

Pros: I play Black Ops mainly and the card offers good preformance. But the fan is pretty loud and would have rather tried another brand instead had I know that.

Cons: Load fan.

5 out of 5 eggsBiostar AMD 6870

Pros: Better than Nvidia's GTX 460 1Gb card and shy of GTX 470 for a much better price.

Uses low wattage running one card with 700 watts and two crossfire with 750 watts recommended.

Running monitor at 1080p@60Hz full screen is eye candy with HDMI cables or DVI option. 3D ready. Direct X 11.

Kudos to AMD for taking over ATI seriously and improving the architecture with their first card debut as new owners. Easy to overclock wth ATI Catalyst software provided.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Great competition between companies lower prices as they compete with each other which is a win win for consumers purchasing power.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card.

Pros: Runs WoW on mostly ultra (2x AA and shadows on low) I get 60fps(vertical sync is enabled because the screen tear annoys me) everywhere except org and dal. Starcraft II plays on max settings

Cons: The reviews I have read on the 6870 have been glowing but i find myself a little underwhelmed. I think maybe some more realistic numbers would have helped. Not just everyone saying ITS ON MAX SETTINGS!!!

Other Thoughts: Its a good card I can see why it is marketed as a "mid range" gpu.
