5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: This baby runs perfectly on my 5 year old 160 watt 8 amps PSU
I can get high quality in the gmaes as I play in well (WAR3,BFME2, and some others)

This also has no optional PSU connector, no fan and runs on my computer at 0 C thats right run really cool. Also this is backwards compatible with APG 4X/4X, and can still run at 4X/8X

Cons: Alot bigger then my past Geforce4 MX 440 SE

Other Thoughts: This card is great for you Silent Budget PCer's, and small PSU users like me.

2 out of 5 eggsNot for me . . .

Comments: I got this card from newegg, I wanted a quieter PC, and it was quiet but that's it. While the initial experience was good after I got over the orginal "new product" thrill I started to notice stange anomalies with this card. I would get a black screen after exiting games for many, many seconds the same when exiting a screensaver or screensaver previews and I was also getting spotty white atifacts on my desktop WHENEVER I would move an open window. I contacted Connect3D and they seemed to think it was bad RAM and told me to return the card. Newegg was out of this card at the time of return so I just got a credit for the card. Personally, I was very dissapointed but after having checked the other ATi based cards available I have gone ahead and ordered the Sapphire 9600XT Ultimate with a heatsink sans fan. Hopefully this will not disappoint.

I was naturally disappointed with my Connect3D video card experience but they, Connect3D, can have a problematic card once-in-a-while just like I am sure ATi has a baddy every now and then.

Newegg has always done right by me. I have been a purchaser from newegg for several years now and I always recommend them to my friends. They do business as good or better than any store you might ever walk into. Thanks newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for 100 buks

Comments: I think the only downside to this card is that it doesnt have a fan. I bought one of those coolmaster PCI slot fans and it keeps the card pretty chill. The card performs decently and I have had no surprises. Ive had it for three months now and I can do everything I want to do, and play the most graphic intensive games at the highest settings. I did notice that there was some choppy performance when I played Battlefield 1942 at MAX resolution with 400% bots. I am running an Athalon 2500 Barton/ 512 DDR Geil Dimms and the Connect3D was a good addition. If you are looking for perfection do not get this card invest in a 9700 but if you are not so picky, this card is a definite go.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: 118 at the moment and thwomps my old ti4200. My system needs a good ole fashioned reformat and overhaul, but running this off a cleaner os on another HD it was faster, so make sure you uninstall old drivers and get the new ones from guru3d as the ones this comes with is perty dated. Runs my dual monitor setup (21" and 19") at a crisp 1280x960 each with no problems. Gotta say, ATI's multi monitor software may be lacking in features but every one it has is actualy GOOD and doesn't slow everything down unlike nvidia's, but maybe that's just me... and she's dx9 friendly and HL2 is just around the bend...

Comments: Another solid ATI card. For the price (currently $118) it can't be beat for a nice inexpensive Lan box. Performance is better than a Geforce FX 5600 btw and this one is a cheaper card. If your don't like spending a ton of money ($200+) on a graphics card I have one word and 4 numbers for ya: Radeon 9600!!!!!!

Comments: This card costs too much for the performance. It performs no better than a Radeon 8500 at stock and it won't overclock due to the 5ns RAM. Yep, 5ns. You're much better off with a Ti4200 or even a Radeon 9500 non-Pro.
