4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works!! getting 81fps when testing.

Cons: Not as fast as I thought it might be...and the fan is noisy at times, I don't think the fan is going to last long!

Other Thoughts: I just upgraded a 3 year old home built machine that had agp and this was about all they bad!

Amd athlon x2duelcore 4200+ 2.2 oc. to 2.6, biostar mobo k8m800, 2gigs of crucial ram 667, 2-320G WD hard drives, Nec-dvdburner, now this 7600gs BFG grafics card. Windows 7and PCLinuxOS...duelboot gotta love it!!

Maybe I can get a little more time out of it now!!

3 out of 5 eggsOkay Card

Pros: Runs fine, can play many games.

Cons: Pretty average/ below average card. Cannot run thing very well without lagging to hell. TF2 even lags with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsBFG video cards are the best

Pros: I bought this card to replace my BFG 6800 GT OC which I paid nearly $400 for at a Comp USA (can't believe their name draws a red flag when submitting reviews) retail store (man, I miss them) back in 2004. I thought it was and still is an awesome AGP card for gaming. But this one has better specs and for $84.99 including free shipping I had to get it. BFG cards are simply the best, I've used them since 2002.

Cons: Wish the core and clock speeds were up there with some of the ATI AGP cards out there but at least BFG video cards actually work. I'm not sure why I even bothered with Sapphire, Axle 3D and a couple of others last year. They were nothing but headaches.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your power supply is at least 350 watts and can provide 20amps on the 12v rail. I have 550 and 30 so I'm good there.

Trying to hold out just a little bit longer before I build a 3-way SLi system. I'm going to have 3 BFG cards in that one!

5 out of 5 eggsGOOD AGP Card.

Pros: Been running this exact card in an old HP system with 3.2 P4, 2 gigs of pc 3200 and this GPU, still play WOW on medium settings with 30 FPS. 3.5 years and still going strong !! BFG has always been good to me....

Cons: Alittle pricey but its AGP and with not many choices around anymore I say this is hardly a con...

Other Thoughts: GREAT Choice to keep an AGP system for another year or two.

Pros: Just looking to upgrade an old computer for cheap. The card worked right out of the box. The easy to read instructions was awesome. So far no problems

3 out of 5 eggsPrice VS Performance

Pros: It's fine for low end gaming and every day internet surfing and office functions.

Cons: for gaming it is way over priced for the performance level you get out of this card.

Other Thoughts: 2 years ago I had a 7600GS installed in my wife's PC that I built her but it was from EVGA. I paid less 2 years ago than what it is advertised for now. Not worth the money vs performance.

2 out of 5 eggsUnderperformer & Non-Functional

Pros: Good adjustability. OC capacity is decent. Runs higher resolutions at a fair rate.

Cons: Bought this card over a year ago at Best Buy for $180 to get max performance from an aging AGP P4 system. It was a step back from my 6800 GT card. All 3D scores dropped, my FPS dropped and at times was unplayable in Valve Source Mod games. I even purchased a P4 3.2 gHz processor, OC'd everything possible just to get CLOSE to what my performance was with the 6800 GT card and 2.4 gHz P4 system.

Very long card interfers with other components in full size case and full size mobo.

Ruined a capacitor on one of my ASUS mobo's when the heat sink contacted the top of the capacitor and split the casing alowing the oil to leak from the capacitor.

Does not work with all AGP mobo's. Will not run in my ASUS P4E INTEL I865 chipset mobo. Have problems running in my Gigabyte P4E mobo with SIS chipset.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this card as the ultimate AGP card and exercise caution when space contraints and mobo compatibilty issues may exist.

Be sure your PS is capable of 20 amps on the +12vdc rail. If you have multiple fans on your +12vdc rail you may run low of power to the card.

My first BFG 7600GS failed after about 7 months of use. BFG took the card as a return but couldn't get a replacement for 3 months! Lucky I have a few spare cards lying around.

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT CARD

Pros: Great card for an aging AGP system

Cons: none that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a beefy power supply (350+ watts I'd recommend). Since the card has a Molex connector, it requires power from the PS to keep the fan going. You'll know you have issues if your PC starts acting odd - I had to select "VGA Mode" from the recovery menu a few times and reinstall drivers. That, and your games work fine one moment but then don't the next (I mean games like Fallout 3, that require a good graphics card).

I had those problems with a similar graphics card (this one worked fine, but my PC died just as I was installing it - it was NOT the video card, because the card worked fine in another system).
