BFG takes the performance of the GeForce 8800GTS GPU and kicks it up from 500MHz to 550MHz, then serves it up with a jazzed up shader clock. The advanced shader processors deliver a new level of physics effects rendered on the GPU. 320MB of GDDR3 memory can handle all the speed and power you can master, and then some. When that becomes insufficient, drop in another card and send your video processing power through the roof!

2 dual-link DVI-I ports let you connect 2 monitors, or a monitor and TV. If you haven’t jumped to flat panel monitors, or if they don’t have DVI ports, you’re still okay, since you get two DVI to VGA adapters. An S-Video port transmits HDTV/component video, as well as S-Video signals. The DVI ports are HDCP capable so you can watch HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs in full HD mode.

NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology combines high-definition video technology to deliver stunning picture clarity in all circumstances. On its own discrete programmable core, it provides a great picture and smooth movies with minimal CPU load. The advanced shader processors deliver a new level of physics effects rendered on the GPU. These combine to deliver stunning visual landscapes while allowing the CPU to focus on the game engine and AI. Unleash the beast! Heck, unleash TWO of them if you think you're strong enough!

  • newegg NVIDIA Unified Architecture with UltraThread Technology The Fully-unified shader core dynamically allocates processing power to geometry, vertex, physics and pixel shading operations, delivering incredibly true-to-life 3D graphics. In addition, the massively multi-threaded architecture supports thousands of independent, simultaneous threads, providing extreme processing efficiency in advanced, next generation shader programs.
  • newegg Full Microsoft DirectX 10 Support The DirectX 10 GPU with full Shader Model 4.0 support delivers unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects.
  • newegg NVIDIA Lumenex Engine The NVIDIA Lumenex Engine supports 128-bit and 64-bit floating point HDR with up to 16X anti-aliasing, delivering vividly realistic lighting effects while obliterating “jaggies”.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Technology Delivers up to 2x the performance of a single GPU configuration for unmatchable gaming experiences. The must-have feature for PCI Express graphics, NVIDIA SLI technology allows two graphics cards to run in parallel and dramatically scales performance on today's hottest games.
  • newegg NVIDIA PureVideo HD Technology The combination of high-definition video decoding acceleration and post-processing delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color and precise image scaling for all video content, especially movies.
  • newegg Built for Microsoft Windows Vista Built for Windows Vista, NVIDIA's fourth-generation GPU architecture offers users the best possible experience using the Windows Aero 3D graphical user interface available in Microsoft latest operating system.

5 out of 5 eggsBFG - Nobody does Nvidia better!

Pros: This thing rocks.. just upgraded my system to pci express. Had the 7800gs.. this card owns bioshock @ max settings... Oblivion @ max with 8x antialising.. wow!

Cons: Big, Hot, Loud. Just like any good nvidia gpu should be!!

Other Thoughts: Pay the extra $ for the BFG. they use better memory, and you cant beat the life time guarentee. Plus, they are almost always factory overclocked!

5 out of 5 eggsHigh-end performance - Mid-range price

Pros: Smoking fast, reasonably quiet, IMO price to performance ratio is best available. Perfect card for my new build w/ Vista Ultimate.

Cons: Love the shirt, but a game tossed into the bundle would have been better.

Other Thoughts: 320MB provides sharp, flawless video in Vista and "World In Conflict". Unless you have a 26" monitor, the 640 is a waste of money.

Love the case stickers!

5 out of 5 eggsPower house like no other!

Pros: Can any one say 70 FPS on BF 2142? Running on Vista? I know I can! This card eats anything you throw at it. It looks like a beast on the inside of the case. It’s the most powerful card I have ever owned, comparatively speaking. BFG really delivered. And obviously, it’s DX 10 compatible.

Cons: It is very large, I won’t lie, but that adds to the general coolness. It’s also heavy. Of course, once you get it in your PC, that won’t matter.

Other Thoughts: BFG 650i Ultra Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33ghz
OCZ 2gb Platinum RAM
BFG 8800 GTS 320mb
Samsung 200gb

Pros: hmm, lets see...320MB of video memory......High Definition like a mothertrucker.....eats video like it's candy....cosmetics to boot!

Cons: It doesn't wipe my a*&?...

Other Thoughts: If you ever get choppy video from this...it is not this card!.....it is your hard drive (pata?) your memory (DDR? and below) or your processor (pentium2? lmfao) Hide the little kiddies...cuz this is a BEAST!

5 out of 5 eggsBest for the Value

Pros: This is the best for the value. NVidia is the most advance in gaming graphics and this card allows the latest technology in gaming. Directx 10 compatible.

Cons: Big and long. Make sure it fits in your case before purchasing.

Other Thoughts: BFG is the way to go with Nvidia cards.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best use of Silicon

Pros: This card is amazing. I can run BF2142 at 70 FPS with all the setting cranked to max and the Vista index gave it a 5.9, the highest possible at this point. BFG tech support is great, they helped me out with my mobo (also BFG) flawlessly.

Cons: It's the heaviest part in my computer, even more then the 500 watt Power supply.

Other Thoughts: If you are a brand addict like me, it's worth it to upgrade to BFG. Its like the Ferrari of computer hardware companies.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth it.

Pros: WAAAY better that on-board video. All games run maxed out that I've tried, including STALKER, Bioshock Demo(want to see DX10 software with real game but need to save up some more), FarCry(duh), and a couple others. My monitor only goes to 1280x1024 so thats what all the games I play are at, but really, with 16x AA available in some games who needs a higher resolution, unless of course your monitor is huge. Heat not an issue. Got it somewhere else for cheaper after a couple calls.

Cons: Heats up my room a lot, but I can deal.

Other Thoughts: X2 5000, 2GB Ram, this card and a good motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: This card is great. it can run all the steam games i have thrown at it, and it can run them very well. On half-life 2: Lost Coast test, everything on high, i get 140 fps which is great. Great card!

Cons: The two cons i can think of for this card are: its runs quite hot (usually at least 50c) the other con is that it is a big card like all the 8800's.

5 out of 5 eggsBFG 8800 OC 320MB

Pros: Great Card. Worth the price. Came in a huge box filled with geek goodies like vga\dvi adapters, stickers, driver cd, hd breakout cable and a xl shirt for xl gamers.

Cons: Gotta spend ~ 3 bills for this. i dont see the point in spending 5 bills on the beefed up version of this card. 22 inch samsung monitor is nice enough for me. 1680*1050

Other Thoughts: Nice upgrade. on 3dmark05 my downstairs s754 rig with 1gb ddr1 on an asus k8v board gets a lousy 4k score with a sapphire radeon x1650pro. my 8800 rig upstairs gets over 13K! it's running 2gb ocz plat. ,AMD x2 5000 @ 2.86Ghz, gigabyte GA-M55SLI board and this bfg8800gts. oh, and newegg rocks.
