Eggscellent
- Pros: paid $25 (after huge $45 rebate) for a good silent card, works fine for a month now. great warranty.
- Cons: no complaints whatsoever
- Other Thoughts: why do rebates take 8-12 weeks to "process"?
Great card...
- Pros: This graphics card is great. I'm not too much of a gamer, but when I installed Gears of War, I put it to the max resolution and no glitches at all! Since then I bought Need for Speed and Call of Duty for it!! This card rocks!!
- Cons: When playing Gears of War and Call of Duty, I noticed that there was a little noticeable lag when I moved the mouse too fast to look around. Most of the time, it's barely noticeable though.
- Other Thoughts: Great card if you need to use Photoshop, watch movies, etc and play games too!! I wish I would of got a 512MB card instead...
fan dying after one week
- Pros: Good price with rebate. The card isn't useless for games. BFG lifetime warranty.
- Cons: The fan was silent, but within one week it started whining and will likely soon die. When others say the fans on these are loud, I assume they got bad fans like mine became. Also, the heatsink/fan is far from great at cooling. It's adequate, I suppose, but barely. If it's in a warm room in the summer, this will likely get rather toasty.
- Other Thoughts: BFG has a lifetime warranty and I'm sure would stand behind it, but after you add together shipping and hassle and probably getting back the same kind of fan that will probably die again anyway, a lifetime warranty doesn't matter a whole lot. Looking around, I see I'm not the only one with a bad fan.
