1 out of 5 eggs2 Cards DOA

Pros: Have no idea.

Cons: Got this card for Christmas. First one was faulty. Had the "double sticker for QC" (I think it was just a return).Returned that one. Second one was completely DOA. Taking it back for one last attempt. If this one is dead as well, I'm done with BFG.

Other Thoughts: Card was purchased at retail store not online. But wanted the info out there.

5 out of 5 eggsThank You BFG

Pros: Dear BFG,
Thank You for replacing my 2 8800 GTX OC2E's with these.
I truly appreciate your awesome support and warranty program. Since my first experience with your 6800 Ultra cards I have been a BFG customer for life. (unless I have an ATI card in which case it will be Visiontek)

Cons: Not much faster than the 8800GTX...

Other Thoughts: The 8800 series have been a battle for me. $1300 for 2 cards and they have been a nightmare. Driver support was horrific and the darn things kept dying on me. Too bad my 680i kept killing everything I plugged into it over time. Thank goodness EVGA replaced the 680i with a 780i due to too many rma boards.

3 out of 5 eggs1st Card DOA

Pros: Great Card! Fast and fairly quiet. Plays Crysis on Ultra High! Make sure your PSU can power it and your case can fit it.

Cons: The first card I got was DOA. With the amount of DOA reviews, NewEgg needs to really check these out before sending them out. The replacement seems to be running fine.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice card

Pros: Excellent framerates at high graphics settings on all games I've played (even at Very High quality on Crysis).

Cons: First card that was shipped to me, the fan burnt out after about 4 hours use, was fairly frustrating.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's RMA process was painless, love this website.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card!

Pros: love this card. tradedup from a 9800gtx and huge difference! plays crysis on very high with great fps. 9800gtx would be stuttering alot and was unplayable at same setting. would suggest all who have a 9800gtx to step up or if you have a lower series card to onsider getting this card. very happy with this card!

Cons: none, but may need to uprade the rest of my system to keep up with this card. currently running a 5000+ black edition and i believe that my cpu is bottlenecking my system...

Other Thoughts: my 3dmark score is about the same as my 9800gtx, but in games there is a huge difference between the two cards. awesome card .

3 out of 5 eggsAnother DOA OC2

Pros: I'm getting great framerates out of STALKER and Crysis. I replaced two 3870's. I'm very happy with the improved performance. It's no secret that this is a great GPU.

Cons: I'm not the review-writer type, but needed folks to know that my first card was also DOA. When I bought it there was only one DOA review on this site--now there are FAR too many. Because BFG makes you pay return shipping when they fail to provide you with a working part, half my rebate check now goes to UPS. I kind of suspect the card that was returned to me was not new--there were 3 previously torn seals on the anti-static bag in addition to the one unbroken one that said seals were broken for QC inspection. I also had the horror of thinking that the replacement card was not an OC2, as the fan decal only said "OC", but I checked the clock speeds, and it appears to be the OC2.

Other Thoughts: I had never purchased a BFG product before, but was under the impression that they were a quality manufacturer. However, the failure rate I'm seeing on this site is completely unacceptable. I have a hard time rationalizing why I have to pay shipping when a manufacturer fails to provide me a working part. I think it's a good practice to test these RMA'd replacement cards before sending them out to already disappointed customers, but there should be no doubt in my mind that I am receiving a BRAND NEW part, not something potentially used or refurbed. I can't really recommend this card based on my experience, but would wholeheartedly recommend this GPU to anyone.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointingly DOA

Pros: Card seems well designed, quiet cooling, lots of nice accessories/connections included.

Cons: So far inspecting the card itself and listening to the fan spin is all I've been able to do. The card was DOA, but BFG's support sent me out after a new PSU (despite the specifications of my present one being sufficient for this card's rather hefty power demands) before acknowledging it was defective.

Other Thoughts: While all the research I've done shows that this is likely an outstanding card, I might advise someone considering an upgrade to wait another month or two until the kinks are worked out as the DOA tales are stacking up.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: My brother ordered this same card last week and it's running fine. I ordered the card based on his experience. Tech support is 24 x 7.

Cons: Card arrived today DOA. Installed in my main gaming rig no video output and five very fast beeps (too fast for POST error messages). Unplugged power supply, rebooted, and got the long beep plus a few short beeps (video card failure).

Called tech support and they wanted me to update BIOS. I updated BIOS and same errors. Plugged X260 into my second gaming rig and received no video again.

Both computers work fine with existing video cards.

Tech support did not offer an express return (take my credit card, ship me new card, once I get new card I put RMA card into box and return it) and asked where I bought card. They asked me if I wanted to RMA with NewEgg (which I would get a new card replacement) or RMA with BFG (no guarantee on new card coming back). I chose RMA with NewEgg which I will do after this request.

Other Thoughts: I know hardware failures but offer an express RMA process.

1 out of 5 eggsBeen DOA lately

Pros: The fan spun

Cons: DOA card, my 3rd DOA product in the last 4 Newegg orders. Either I'm the most unlucky person on earth, or Newegg thinks I'm a dumb schmuck.

Other Thoughts: 3/4 DOA means 75% failure rate. That's unacceptable.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the Buck

Pros: This card runs everything on the orange box at max settings smooth as silk. I couldn't be more pleased with the service that BFG tech offers as well.

When this card drops in price I plan on buying 2 more for 3-way sli

Cons: Card is rather large, and may require you to reposition some things or buy a new case.

Also, runs a little warm, but nothing shocking.
