5 out of 5 eggsGood box

Comments: This Pinnacle movie box is the best video capture hardware that I've worked with. But the software is very quirky. Captures perfectly everytime but does not work well in edit and render mode. Video and audio were always out of sync after editing.
I highly recommend this box but get some other video editing software.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Device

Comments: This thing works good. I have started capturing all of my old VHS and Hi8 camera footage. It looks as good after it gets burned to DVD as it originally did. The software packaged with the Box is cool too. Still learning all the stuff it does. I don't think you can beat it for the money. New Egg is awesome.

5 out of 5 eggsGood box - poor software

Comments: Best box I could find for vid transfer. Unfortunatly, a little expensive, but does the job every single time with no problems. USB 2.0 is a must (doesn't work well with 1.0). Software on the other hand is very disapointing. Likes to crash, all the time. The only reason I keep it installed is to capture video, but then edit with Ulead. I'd buy it, but look other places for editing software.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pinnacle's stuff is so easy to use. Just plug it in and off you go. Make sure you download the latest drivers. Also make sure you defrag your hard drive regularly.

1 out of 5 eggsCaveat emptor...big time

Comments: On an A64 3200+/1GB RAM/Radeon 9700 Pro the capture just stops after random intervals; stripped down to the essential tasks and still wouldn't work. My RMA is pending, don't think I'll be looking at Pinnacle again any time this millenium.
