5 out of 5 eggsVery good card

Pros: This is a very good, stable, cool card. It can overclock if you so desire, and it does its job very well.

Cons: No cons so far.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a top quality card, don't get this card. Get one of the more upper line cards. However, if you're on a lower budget, and want to play the more recent games and the like, this will run them very well, and at good graphics settings as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, stable card

Pros: I have owned this card for over a year. I purchased it from Newegg. It arrived via Fedex before it scheduled arrival date - YEAH!!! It is a very good card. It is good for the older games. It has excellent DVD playback. For its age, it can still put out.

Cons: Unfortunately, it is beginning to show it's age. While it plays my most of games pretty well - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Doom 3, etc... With some games at higher resolutions, it's beginning to choke - eg. Star Wars Galaxies at 1024 x 768 - everything at max. This is why I purchased my new EVGA 7900GT from Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Great card for most situations. If you want to run the latest games with at least 1024x768, AA and details - do not get it. For MOST older games (1 year old or more) it's a very big bang for the buck!

4 out of 5 eggsGood budget card, but not for gaming

Pros: Its an excellant card for the price. I bought it back in december when i was trying to stay on a budget. I was really happy to find an SLi card at that reasonable a price.

Cons: Heating problems. The card overheats 5 mintues into WoW loading screen and it couldn't play SWG either. However, I am fixing that problem by replacing the stock fan. Hopefully that will solve the problem. :)

Other Thoughts: I would suggest going with a geforce 7 series simply because their prices have dropped recently.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: The graphics card runs half-life2, and first person shooters at max settings. On games such as Fear, it cannot perform smoothly under the maximum graphics settings. However, the hard runs very well on medium to high settings. For the price you pay, it's a tremendous value.

Cons: like most cards, it runs a little hot.

Other Thoughts: card equipped on athlon64 3000+ with 1mb memory, 80gigybyte 7200rpm hardrive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Card

Pros: This card is great for a gamer on a budget. While it is not on par with the 7xxx series cards, it offers unbeatable performance for the price. This card plays CS:S on max settings (1024x768) with 4x AA and 8x AF with around 70fps (30-40 with HDR). It also plays FEAR on almost all max settings. I am sure that two of these things in SLI could tackle anything.

Cons: The 128mb of memory can be a drawback in games like Battlefield 2 and FEAR, but medium textures still look very nice in those games. I read some complaints about the temperature of XFX cards, but I have mine clocked at 570/1100 with no heat issues at all. This card will also not be able to run modern games at resolutions higher than 1024x768 with great quality, so if you are in need of playing a game on a huge monitor look elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: If you can afford a better card by all means buy it, but if you are like me and want to put two of these in SLI for great performance on a student's budget, buy this card.

My rig:
AMD Athlon 3700+ @ 2.51ghz
Asus SLI mobo
XFX 6600gt
1gb Corsair XMX @ DDR440
Western Digital Caviar 160gb

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a decent card at a decent price. Expect a value card that isn't going to run the new releases with all the candy on, and you won't be disappointed.

Cons: With the 7600GT and 7900GTX making big splashes, this is already outdated.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card a few months ago with the realization that it was going to be a budget card, but it would still provide good performance on the older games. I'm not disappointed for buying it, because I realized in a few months, I would scrape together a few more bucks, and upgrade to the 7800 series. But if you can afford a better card, you most definitely should get a better card---especially with the 7600GT only being a few bucks more.

5 out of 5 eggsHandles it all.

Pros: The speed/price ratio is one of the best. Can upgrade to an SLI system and beat the pants off 7-series cards for half the price (but twice the heat!)

Cons: The stock fan could be better. YES, it is copper, but the h/s is off-center to the fan (a design contrained by the lack of maximum height for the fan/hs).

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend getting a replacement hs/fan with the card. I got a Zalman ZF700 that fit flawlessly and was a breeze to install.
