5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Incredible performance by itself. Unstoppable when paired with another in SLI. Single slot, quiet, cool & stable.

Cons: Worth it if you've got the money.

Other Thoughts: Amazing video cards. Have had them for almost a year now.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Ferrari Of Graphics Cards

Pros: XFX has produced a marvelous graphics card, with blazing speeds and lightning-fast reflexes. Thankfully, unlike it's 7900 GTX or 512MB cousins, the cooler does not take up two PCI slots, which saves some space. The card itself is very easy to install, and feels well-constructed.

Cons: Depending on your case and the internal air circulation, your idling and load temperatures can vary greatly, as with most cards. Try to purchase or modify your current case to accomodate several high-airflow fans to move some air around, and your temperatures should drop a few degrees. Also, again depending on what case you have, you may have to bend the card slightly for it to fit correctly. If you are using an analog monitor, this card does come with adapters, but you might want to check how much free space behind your case you have, since it adds a few inches of tough cable. nVidia, for whatever reason, engineered the heatsink to direct the exhaust air into the case, rather than out. This problem can be alleviated with ARTIC COOLING's NV-Silencer Rv.3 heatsink/fan, or if you have a side-mounted case fan, you can switch the airflow to exhaust the hot air out of your system.

Other Thoughts: My card, in my slightly cramped case, idles between 49C and 51C. Because I think of poor circulation, the card can exceed 80C, so make sure you have good ventilation in your case.

4 out of 5 eggsSpectacular!

Pros: 7800GTX! Beautiful performance running at 1600x1200. Games look great. Card itself gets hot but with only one in the case my temps are ok. Two might be a different story.

Cons: Make sure you have enough power. Also, my PCMark results show core Mhz at only 8!! Which is obviously not right given how my games look, so not sure what is happening there.....

Other Thoughts: Nice card, allows for SLI upgrade if you've got the board to support it.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Put together a computer for a friend, coupled this with a AMD 165 opteron, 4 gigs of ram, one of these ran BF2 at 1024x768, all highest graphics, dynamic shadows and all, easily 90+fps

Cons: Hear some bad stuff about DOAs

Other Thoughts: Can't wait to build one of my own

5 out of 5 eggsQuite The Space Heater...

Pros: I've had this card for approximately three months now, and it's yet to spit a problem my way. I've played F.E.A.R., DOOM 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, The Sims 2, and many more games with so much as a stutter. I don't have to worry about overloading the card anytime soon, since this is the fastest facory-overclocked GTX I've found so far. The depreciation value of this card is very low, since I bought mine for $xxx around Christmas time, and it's only dropped to $xxx (as of this review.)

Cons: Be forewarned, however, this card can become VERY hot. On a cold startup, the card idles at about 40C, but after a fragfest in F.E.A.R., I get temperatures that almost touch 80C. The stock heatsink does a great job of cooling the card down, though, since it takes less than 10 minutes to cool back down to 41C or so. A word of the wise: if you have a case with a side fan, you'll want to reverse the airflow so it becomes an exhaust fan. The design of the heatsink is in such a way that exhaust from the card is fed into the case. When your side fan blows outside air into this, it warms up your CPU's intake air and motherboard, as well as everything else. If your case has few (or no) case fans, you will want to purchase a new case and some strong fans, as well as a third-party heatsink. I'd recommend the Arctic Cooler NV-Silencer Rv.3, specifically built for the GTX. It also drived the exhaust air outside of the case, so you won't have to worry about overheating anything.
