5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid as Allways

Pros: The 6600GT opens up a can on same-level rival cards with XFX.
I put much time into comparing features to cost+ reliablity for a decision, and opted not to go with the ? vga bandwagon. Even though cheaper, the performance and features are more than worth the difference.
I am using this card in a new Compaq presario w 3500 Athlon 64, 1Gig ram, Windows XP(MCE)on a SATA HD. Another bonus is most of you can use this card in a less capable PWR supply, like most that come in ready- made systems like mine. MAKE SURE of course that u check your 12v rail amperage to make sure it will be stable. No problems here running COD2 for extended time, using higher res/detail settings and with AA/AF on. DVD/TV viewing is awsome also. Best card for my budget, will buy xfx again.

Cons: None escaped... :)

Other Thoughts: This is my second XFX card- good job XFX and Newegg!!!
Will move on to the 7900 this fall for the unfinished gaming/home theatre rig. More pipes never hurt anyone. :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Video Card

Pros: Good video card overall. I can play most if not all of my games on high settings at a high resolution, no problem. Of course you can't expect the best video card out there for this price, but it'll get the job done. I would highly recommend this if you are on a budget. Very good card.

Cons: Only has DVI ports. So if you have a VGA monitor you need to use the adapter. No big deal though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: Good graphics at a low cost. Runs CouterStrike Source and Battlefield 2 very well on high settings.

Cons: Have not had any issues with this card. It does exactly what I need.

Other Thoughts: eVGA GeForce 7600 GT Video Card would be my other choice because it has a faster clock and it is still low price.

3 out of 5 eggsno twinview with Ubuntu, AMD64

Pros: Good price on a card of this spec. 2 DVI ports! Lots of RAM for $. Good, solid image (1 montitor). Muti-rez switching works well on linux (1 monitor).

Cons: At least some versions do not support Nvidia's Twinview under AMD64 linux (ubuntu dapper). After a week's nights worth of xorg.conf reconfig, couldn't get it to light 2 LCD monitors in graphics mode (tho I could get cloned text fine). This is now a known bug with some revs of this card. The XFX 6800XT has a similar problem, tho not as severe. Pity.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise a very good card for one monitor under linux (didn't try under windows), just amazing service from newegg as usual. Hard to say enough good things about their service.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: This is an amazing card! I have not had a problem with it. Running CSS on high gives me an average of 178 FPS and on BF2 150 FPS on average!

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I suggest this video card to everyone!

2 out of 5 eggsGreat card but mine was defective

Pros: Great card that can run ANYTHING out now at max settings. BF2 is the only exception but hey, if 800x doesn't bother you then yes, you can max it out too. I currently run BF2 at 1152x with all high settings except shadows. Doom 3 looks absolutly amazing now at 1280x1024 at Ultra Quality. It's a totally different game and I'd say it's the best looking engine out now period. Before this card I would have told you that FEAR was the best looking game period. FEAR did not get much of an upgrade in visuals either as I could run maxed out before albeit at 640x.

Cons: My card had issues the moment I booted up my PC. Screen blacks out as soon as I startup, like it's resetting my refresh rate or something. My desktop randomly gets snow and artifacts after having atleast a 1day uptime. If I play any games during this period, they will cause the screen to black out before starting then show the desktop again and finally the game loads up. Then there's artifacts galore during the game up to the point where my whole system has to be reset. Works fine on a fresh boot though with a couple "snow glitches" on my desktop here and there.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the money, just don't get a lemon like I did.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for a good Price

Pros: Good bang for the buck. However, you'll get better performance/stability with the nvidia drivers from nvidia's website. With an Athlon64 3700+ and 1GB of DDR400, I was playing Doom3 smoothly on High setting. Can't beat that for the money spent.

Also, this card supports SLI :)

Cons: Use the drivers from nvidia's site for best results. Not really a con I suppose, seeing as I prefer to use nvidia's driver anyhow.

Other Thoughts: Two of these for SLI would probably make a nice budget SLI rig.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Budget Card

Pros: 256 MB
Excellent price/performace ratio

Cons: Ugly dog picture on the chipset cooler

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price. I am currently running 2 of them in SLI and it works very well. Was running 1 previously and could run WoW at full visual quality.
