Fantastic AGP card for Linux/XP
- Pros: I installed this card as an upgrade in my IBM Intellistation that dual boots Ubuntu 7.04 and XP. Works great with the nVidia open source driver. Beryl effects look fantastic! Using it with a dual Benq display setup.
- Cons: None so far
- Other Thoughts: My temp controlled cooling fans are stepping up a little more since this was installed. Plan to install a PCI slot cooler next to it to help move out the hot air.
Awesome AGP Upgrade
- Pros: This card installed with no problems. Nice utility programs included on CD. I upgraded from an X1300 (512mb) and the XFX Nvidia runs circles around it. I am VERY happy. Newegg and UPS delivered ontime (A+), as usual.
- Cons: This will probably be the last upgrade for my AGP system, but was well worth it.
- Other Thoughts: I play Vanguard at 1600x1200 on balanced(gorgeous). I get average 30-50 fps with no problems at all. I use XP, Asus A8V, AMD 64X2 4200(not OCed), Thermaltek CPU fan, 2 Gigs Corsair memory and Diamond sound card(want SB X-Fi), all in an Antec P150 case(beautifully quiet). All from Newegg!! Building a Vista machine is next on the list as soon as drivers and software are hashed out a bit more. Keep up the great service, Newegg.

Best AGP card on Newegg for now
- Pros: NVidia cards just seem to have fewer issues and this thing is all business for an agp box.
- Cons: no Directx 10, that'll be a con someday. I couldn't find the old agp title holders (X1950xt, 7950gt)
- Other Thoughts: the hd2600's have dx10, but they seemed buggy and this thing clobbers most of the hd2600xt's specs. ps: this thing needs a power supply with 20 amp rails and I saw something like 480w mentioned as a minimum, so you can't just plug it in an old box with a standard power supply or it'll do starnge things. I bumped a 380w up to a 700w to be sure, but a cheap 600w or a nice 500w would do
Great Card
- Pros: Great Card. Very good quality. Cooling system on the card is superb. The card is a awesome overclocker. You can easily get 600/750 on this card with sotck cooling.
- Cons: The last gasp for AGP.
- Other Thoughts: Very happy with XFX's overclocking friendly lifetime warranty. Will definitely buy from agian.
