5 out of 5 eggsApproved

Pros: I've had 2 of these cards in SLi since 2008, from my first build and they have been rockin ever since, they are running right now as I'm typing this review and as soon as I'm done I'm gonna play some WoW. Back in 2008 I ordered 2 of these for $169 and boy did I get my moneys worth for sure. I dont regret it one bit. They have run ANY game I have every thrown at it. Crysis 1&2 (Hi), WoW(Max), all of the Valve games(Max) and Saints Row the Third(Hi-Max) all in 1080p There was nothing these cards could not handle.

Its not DX11 but when these cards were made there was no DX11, I was still able to play ANY game I want with very nice quality. They would get pretty hot, iv seen one of my cards get up to 105c but you know what THEY NEVER CRASHED, also it was my fault, I had bad case ventilation. Have'nt seen them go over 92c since I bought a new case for my second build. They hang around 50c-80c now.

Cons: Other gamers end up punching their monitors because I over-dominate

Other Thoughts: Used these in SLi for my first build (2008), and even used them in my second build (2012). They did their job with great quality, and now its time for them to retire. So happy to say they have never failed me and I am going to hang them both on my wall above my desk since they look sick.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Excellent Graphics for a decent price

Cons: Sometimes overheats and display shuts down

Other Thoughts: Ive been running this card for a couple of years, and I have to say, its really held up to some severe abuse. It does occasionally shut down my display, but that might be partly because my case doesnt have the best ventilation, and its only after hours of gaming that it happens.

5 out of 5 eggsGone but not Forgotten

Pros: This has been an amazing card for me. In spite of pairing it with a 2.8ghz Pentium D processor this card has taken pretty much everyone I've thrown at it in stride and has delivered what I'd say are overall results for a card that didn't break the bank for me.

Since I'm moving on to bigger things and taking a foray into the world of AMD, and since it's been a while since the card was manufactured, I guess I can't say I'll be buying another one.

nVidia you designed an awesome, XFX you made an awesome card and the overall quality will ensure that I will at least buy from XFX in the future.

Cons: I never bought 2 of them.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for your buck

Pros: Very very good graphics, runs crysis and other games at high with no problems. This is the best bang for your buck.

Cons: Loud card, very high sqeeky noise and my rig is at head height so it's very easy to hear it. Debating moving it under my desk just for this reason.

Other Thoughts: Get this card. I upgraded from some bad x1550 and the difference is too noticeable.

4 out of 5 eggsViciousXUSMC 9600GT Review

Pros: It was cheap when I got it making it a great spot in price vs performance, but it already went up again... Its single slot so not a big computer space hog and it runs very cool. So nothing really wrong with the card physically. Performance wise it seems to be almost 2x better than my old 7800gtx scoring about 10000 in 3dmark06 with a mild overclock and an overclocked q6600.

Cons: My only real con about the card is that it did not include a dvi cable. Usually if memory serves me right a video card comes with a cable to hook it to your monitor. In this case a Svideo cable is there, and a svideo into component cable, but not DVI and that kinda sucks.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't really buy this card if gaming is your goal, I think the 8800gt or 8800gts (g92) are better for just abit more money (or almost the same price currently due to price changes) but if you are looking for HTPC, or something like that and want great performance, low heat, low space, low energy, upgrade hd decoding, and the ability to play games too. This is a good choice.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price with excellent results!

Pros: I love this video card! It overclocks rather well, but doesn't overheat. It runs at practically the same speed of the 8800GT with the added bonus of the DX10. If the price is right I plan on adding a second card for SLI.

Cons: This is a single slot video card. I wish it was dual slot so the fan would expell the heat out of the case.

Other Thoughts: None.

4 out of 5 eggsnice mid to high range

Pros: price performance to 130 is a sweet stop

Cons: just wish it was an factory oc card

Other Thoughts: the rebate takes 3 months but i did get mine back
with rebate is a nice sale price ,with out the rebate you can do much better now.But then 3 months ago thats where the market was ,cards depreciate like cars..maybe 10 bucks a month overall
