Pros: The card runs very well in my Dell XPS 400. Call of Duty is like playing a movie. XFX support has excellent.

Cons: When I first installed this card my computer would BSOD when I tried to play a DVD. After contacting XFX support - they quickly they diagnosed the problem to a conflicting Sonic codec and offered a replacement codec to fix the problem. Since then it has run without a hitch.

Other Thoughts: I appreciate the level of support from XFX.

Excellent High-End Budget Card

Pros: Here we go. The obvious pro is the price. I purchased this card after $20 promo code and $30 MIR for a low price of $99. Here are my own personal benchmarks. Crysis: DX9 settings, texture- medium, objects-medium, rest mixture of high and very high, Resolution 1440X900--avg fps is 47.6. COD4-everything maxed-fps over 100. Portal fps-150-190.WOW fps 120-220. Double Life-Time warranty makes the resell value awesome (warranty easily transferrable to a second person)

Cons: The 256mb really limits this card at high resolution. I would recommend not getting this card if you plan on using it at resolutions greater than 1440X960, instead opt for a 512mb 9600gt or 8800gt. The fan is 2-pin so no fan control here. I personally did not find the fan too loud, but I did have xfx send me a free adapter that manually lowered the fan speeds.

Other Thoughts: I am running this on a foxconn g33m motherboard with 3gb ddr2 ram, two sata 7200rpm hard drives, c2d e4300 @ 2.4ghz, 380 watt Antec Earth Watt PSU with 2 12v rails with 17 amps on each rail. Total of 324 watts on the 12v rails. OS: Vista Ultimate 32-bit

p.s An important factor for all new buyers out there is the PSU. Make sure you get a quality power supply with plenty of amperage on the 12v rail. I would recommend at least 26 amps on the 12v rail. If it has two rails you can roughly add the amps on both rails. A power supply with a 6-pin pci-e cable is preferable but not necessary as the card comes with a two four-pin molex to pci-e power cable.

Pros: Good FPS considering that its only 256MB of ram. COD4 ran really well and on fairly high settings.

Cons: No fan control. I ended up buying a fan controller because I had quite a few fans in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money. If youre kinda picky about high end graphics then go for the 512MB model or a 8800GTS or something in the upper 9 series.
