5 out of 5 eggsoh the pain

Pros: I have yet to be able to install this card yet I am happy with it due to xfx customer service.

Cons: Started to install it and realized that my CYBER POWER psu lacked sufficient connectors for an install of this card. Please check that you have 2 6 pin connectors or get a new power source that does along with your order. And this was with Cyber powers own branded 800 watt psu. I know I should have checked but the spaghetti in their made it hard to track. My new Corsair psu will have modular cables to clean that mess up. Hurry newegg, I am anxiously awaiting it.

Other Thoughts: XFX has nearly immediate customer support that actually seems to have empathy with their customers. After having experienced their support I would go back to them even if this card is found dead.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: The card does not overheat let's get that straight. If you are new to computers get the nvidia tools and set the fan to 70%. It won't break a sweat past 49 celcius under full load. 2nd if it does your case is the issue. Stop blaming XFX and others for your 35 dollar case. The best ones are the HAF 932 and Antec 1200. I use this with an Anrtec 1200.

Cons: Soon to be replaced by the paper release of Fermi. I had 2 4890 2gb cards for GTAIV and there was a loss of 10 fps under crossfire. This card gets 61 fps in 1680 X 1050 with an AMD 965 with Vista 64 SP2. My son's GTX 295 in the same game is 1.5 fps slower. My single 4890 2gb gets 56.8 fps. The only game that wants more is crysis and it is 3 years old.

Other Thoughts: Unless you are going higher in resolution there is no need to SLI this card. It is a beast. The only game that might push it is Batman in which you should add a physics card like a 9800 GTX. I won't get a 5870 knowing the price will drop after Fermi. I am selling my 4890's. MSI GD70, AMD 965, WD Raptor, 8gb OCZ AMD edition, Vista 64 SP2.

4 out of 5 eggsOK card

Pros: Finally, Crysis as it should be. No install problems with a mid tower case.

Cons: For me the stock fan speed is too low allowing GPU overheating and crashing while playing games. And I mean every single 3D game I tried. Subtract one egg. But see below.

Other Thoughts: Get "NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support" from nvidia.com. This is NOT included on the XFX driver disk. The install adds a new section to the Nvidia Control Panel that lets you manually control the fan speed and also overclock the card. For me a fan speed of 70% keeps all games running smoothly without too much fan noise .

Needs a good power supply, 550w minimum. The card uses TWO 6-pin power connections.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of ownage.

Pros: Looks cool. Plays all games maxed. I only have one. Plays crysis warhead fully maxed with 2x AA perfectly. Everything runs beautiful. I am running it on an old system. (e6700, ddr2 800, P965 Chipset) Its a good card. Runs cooler than my X1950XTX that it replaced. First graphic card upgrade for my in 2.7 years.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: (:

5 out of 5 eggsCOOOOL

Pros: These cards in sli run at 65c max , room temp 26c playing crysis(not warhead) for one hour.
In sli on asus gene motherboard cards are less than 1/8 inch apart. They run perfect.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Great manufacturing by XFX, these 285's are perfect running off air cooling.
They dont run HOTTTT, get some case fans,LOL.

3 out of 5 eggsHOTTTT

Pros: when it's not over heating it tears up games.

Cons: I have two running in sli. they are very power hungry as well. Had to rma two cards because of over heating already. No fualt of newegg all poor manufacturing on xfx. theese 285's are terrible at running off air cooling. With little options for water cooling right now, I'd wait till the next generation cards come out.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Fast very fast, it worked without any problems in my core i7 system. Very big though make sure you have a full case for this system. What you pay for is what you get basically.

Cons: It doesn't come with a HDMI adapter or inputs wish it did

Other Thoughts: I was wondering if anyone knew if the other gtx xfx 285 WITH the hdmi adapter compatible with the one I have?

2 out of 5 eggsNot OC'ed

Pros: Decently cheap for a GTX 285 and its a XFX. Double warranty, it does come with a code for 3dmark vantage as another person stated and Far Cry 2.

Cons: This is not an overclocked card. It is set at Nvidia reference clocks of:
GPU: 648
Mem: 2484
Shader: 1476
Does not come with a HDMI port like the other GTX's. Most likely why it is cheaper.

Other Thoughts: I should have known better that the price was not matching right with the specified clock speeds.
