- Pros: 216 core ~ double lifetime warranty ~
fizzles out ~ file for a replacement ~ fine deal w/ the COD 4 ~ register the card w/n 30 days (tip*) xfx support will custom, stress test, a card ~ @ the owner's request ~support is easy 2 work w/ ~
- Cons: none ~ good stuff
- Other Thoughts: GF100 ~ cometh ~ while nvidia is "fizzling" their 2 series inventory ~ I got 260 sli :0)
Was great but RIP
- Pros: This card was great. It installed easily, looked amazing, and did not stop to smell the flowers in games. It ripped up my graphics like a beast taking no prisoners whatsoever. This was the first time I upgraded my graphics card in YEARS. I was limping along in today's world on a GeForce 7800 GS. YES, A 7800. Then I upgraded to this thing and it was like injecting 20 gallons of steroid substance into a top athlete. Nothing could stop this MONSTER!
- Cons: I thought nothing could stop this beast but suddenly after the first week, it popped and turned off my rig. I wondered what the heck was going on, so I turned it back on. Same thing. It did this about 3 more times and then finally it went POP and SPARKS AND FLAMES FLEW OUT OF THE FAN INTAKE HOLE. Smoke started to fill the room so I YANKED IT OUT and turned off the system. This bad boy was SO BAD, that it pulled an underwear bomb incident in my case! Luckily, there was no explosion and I managed to rip it out before it did damage to other components.
- Other Thoughts: It was good while it lasted. I had to get a new card from a different vendor. Nothing against XFX. I still support them always but this one time, their card totally fizzed out on me.
gimme another
- Pros: powerful card
- Cons: 2 DVI ports makes it difficult to hook up to a moniter. The box is supposed to ship with 2 DVI/VGA adapters, mine shipped with one. the power cable was completely useless, (some funky thing that could only be plugged into one of the cords two power slots.) Also the card's fan didn't work, causing it to overheat and crash my computer after working moderately hard for about a half hour. Or ten minutes if the card was working hard.
- Other Thoughts: Also a little long.
