5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Most bang for your buck! Runs great at 720p and x2 AA on most games.

Cons: can't push the card too hard or it will lag.

5 out of 5 eggsGot it cheap!

Pros: Got it for $40 after rebate. Rebate came after 1 month without any problem. Card works fine. Does is exactly what I need. Good as a cheap HTPC card with casual gaming.

Cons: none so far.

4 out of 5 eggsquite nice

Pros: Cheap, fast...works great with no drama in both Linux and Xp, great picture, breezes through Google earth

Cons: Not quite as nice as my Palit gt240; it had a bit of what looks like corrosion on the board, fan is a little louder, shroud is a little silly

Other Thoughts: My nitpicking aside..Who would have thought you could get this much card for so little? (If my $40 rebate flies, which it should)

5 out of 5 eggsReviews, real ones, fair ones plz.

Pros: I installed this card for a client of mine and it more than exceeds expectations. As for the size, it is a little small in length but does take up two expansion slots. Buyers should read reviews and dimensions before purchasing so how can we knock this card if we don't do our due diligence. The fan is slightly loud but isn't much more noticeable than the stock AMD X2 cooler. As far as price point, I think the price is right especially considering it's $40 rebate.

Cons: The only con I can see is that people knock things without first studying the product first before buying. Who buys a car without test driving it first? Nobody. Seems like people buy things without checking it out first.

Other Thoughts: Read the dimensions before buying. Expect the card to perform similarly to others at the same specs. Nothing more, nothing less.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive, low power use

Pros: Reasonable speed, no need for standard PCIE power connector.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Excellent card for sprucing up stock computers to play reasonably new games, due to the low power drain, and how it pulls it's power from the PCIE bus.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Physx card

Pros: Short card, so it didn't block the fan of my other card. Runs fairly cool with that big fan on it. Physx graphics look great, and this really helps my system handle them. Low power draw.

Cons: The double wide heatsink and fan could be a con for you, but I'm more than willing to take up an extra PCI slot for better cooling.

Other Thoughts: I am using this as a dedicated Physx card alongside my gtx260. I'm using a Corsair 750psu, and it handles both cards just fine.

2 out of 5 eggsNot the GT 240 to get

Pros: Works
Nice packaging

Cons: No fan control
Loud fan
Takes up 1.5 slots

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to run a tertiary monitor, but I should have taken a closer look before buying. One unforgivable flaw: no fan control. Take a look at the wires in the picture. There are just two: ground and positive. So there is no RPM control either from BIOS or any third-party software possible. That's pretty sad for a product made this decade, especially since the card has 2D and 3D low power modes that would otherwise allow it to run at lower fan speeds.

The fan is fairly loud, so this makes the product unattractive - especially when you can get the single-slot EVGA GT 240 (which does have fan control and quieter fan) with similar price after rebate.

The other flaw is the silly slot design. It's not big enough to take up two slots (and thus have quieter fan) but it's not small enough to take up just one slot (which would have allowed it to fit in the final PCI-E slot of a case with bottom-mounted PSU).

4 out of 5 eggsgood card

Pros: Runs cool and quiet big improvement over on board graphics.

Cons: xfx drivers would not load off disk device manager would not recognize card until I down loaded drivers from nvidia not the eggs fault.

Other Thoughts: Neweggs service and shipping great as usual. Now if xfx comes up with the rebate it will be a real bargain.
