1 out of 5 eggsWorst service ever

Pros: NONE

Cons: Wow... Let me start by saying it took XFX 7 months to get me a card that worked- 2 RMAs during that time, all the while telling me it was my system- So I built a second system... Same problems. Built a rig for a friend identical to mine, his worked mine didn't- I told them all this and it was still my system that was wrong. I downloaded everything they asked I re loaded windows several times, xfx drivers, tried many different combos of components- nothing- they send me another, same problems, I go through the whole ordeal again and again- I don't know how many hours I wasted that I'll never get back- Double Life Time warranty my _ _ _. They would not give me money back and the only thing they will send you is a refurb! Someone elses problem card! 7 MONTHS MAN! REALLY?! REALLY?! The last card I recieved- I reluctantly hooked it up and what do ya know, it worked. So I was right all along, cuz I used the same rig I had at the start.

Other Thoughts: I really hate when people say they'll never buy a product from a certain company in a review and its usually for nothing- so petty, (and the company doesn't really care as they already have your money) but in this case I can say I will never purchase XFX products again and anyone who ever asked my opinion on the matter will get both barrels of disgust from me and advise to go with another brand- also newegg should let you do zero stars.

1 out of 5 eggsXFX Support is ZERO eggs

Pros: Fast if it would have ever worked, arrived DOA, replacement from XFX arrived with issues and failed this past week.

Cons: Took three weeks to get another from XFX and it too was bad but limped and bluescreened my PC. XFX said it was my PC for a very long time until the card died again.

Other Thoughts: I am advising everyone to put XFX on hold due to extremely long dealing with these RMA issues. Two to three days for a tech update on the case. It took over two weeks to get my first card replaced. Never buying again. Back to EVGA and Nvidia GTX 580 SLI ZERO issues!

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: fastest card currently

Cons: fastest card only if the games support crossfire or sli 2 hd 6970s are cheaper more efficient and faster than the hd 5970 from xfx

Other Thoughts: buy 2 hd 6970s,5870s,or the upcoming dual gpu card the hd 6990 this card is not worth the price

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Outstanding Video card. I have two 5970's crossfired and am running on a 30 inch monitor (2560 x 1600 resolution). I am able to max out all games, even at this extreme resolution. Fear 2 avg 180 - 240 FPS, Battlefield Bad Company 2 mulitiplayer 120 + FPS with everything maxed. Metro 2033 50-80 FPS.

Cons: Price! These video cards are very cpu reliant. To get the most out of these cards, I rececommend a strong processor...ie Intel I7 processor clocked at 3.5 or higher. I overclocked my i7 930 from 2.8 to 3.62 and watched my FPS jump up considerably.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend the LG WH 30 inch monitor at 2560 x 1600 resolution. If you have been gaming at 1920 x 1200 you don't know what your missing. Make the switch, you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreatest GPU I've EVER pwned

Pros: This thing is a total beast. It chews through any game I own. It is quite capable of doing serious damage @ stock clock speeds. However, once overclocked - it completely unleashes it's carnal prowess. I used the XFX Overvolt tool at first. It got me to 900/1200 (although not a 100% stable 100% of the time; even with it's highest voltage of 1.162).

I felt I needed more voltage, so I turned to MSI AfterBurner (version 1.40). This allowed me to hit core clocks of 950, 960, & 980, (however voltages required 1.2+). I am very pleased with this Über purchase. I am bottle necking it big time with my 965 @ 4GHz on an 870 board.

Cons: I purchased it back in September 2010 & it was a bit unstable. I returned it to NewEgg & received my RMA in October. Never looked back. Thanks you EggMan!

Other Thoughts: I have this card & my CPU on the same loop powered by an MCP655 w/ EK-DX5 top, triple 120 RAD & an EK Block. My highest temps during long & heavy gaming sessions barely start touching 60C @ my current 960/1250/1.2v.

5 out of 5 eggsBAD AXE

Pros: I have this paired with a ASUS 5970 and they destroy any game on the market, have them clocked @ 950/1300. I put a omni gpu cooler on the xFx (2nd card) and arctic cooling accelero on the ASUS, cooling is phenomenal and noise is 0

Cons: nadda

Other Thoughts: I would complain about the size of the card but I was smart enough to buy a case that would accommodate any hardware and future upgrades I put in it.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: EXTREMELY FAST CARD, did need to overclock and still got almost max fps on all the games i play, Except FSX!

Cons: ITS EXPENSIVE, And ITS HUGE!!! some modifications required to fit in into a Antec 900 x2. But Overvolt tool is not working on my Asus Commando Motherboard, ive updated drivers and bios with latest drivers.

Other Thoughts: wish overvolt would work. But would like to get a second one to Xfire them :D

5 out of 5 eggsXFX is great

Pros: Very overclockable

Good performance

Price will most likely be going down with the release of the 6xx series

Cons: Nothing really, you need to flash the bios to get manual control of the fans, but not enough of a issue to take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: XFX's support is very good. I had to RMA the very first one I received, unfortunately, however because of XFX's excellent customer support, I decided it didn't warrant an egg off.

For anyone wondering - have mine running stably at 900/1200 with only a 0.05 voltage increase (1.149).

5 out of 5 eggsThat's not moon, it's a video card!

Pros: Jumpin' crispies do these things eat through games. Amazingly quiet given the HS/Fan/Enclosed configuration and the size of the fans.

Haven't had any problems with over heating or inconsistencies in fan speeds.

Sad they didn't include the longer XFire connector. Thankfully the Asus Rampage III Formula MB had one.

Being able to run three Dell 2408WFPs in Eyefinity mode is so much fun.

Cons: They're big enough to have their own gravitational field.

My Zalman Z-MACHINE GT900 drive bay wouldn't work with the cards. They're about 3/4" too long.

Not sure it's really a con, but did I mention these things are huge? Make sure your case depth is sufficient.

Other Thoughts: I ended up moving all the HDDs up to the 5.25" slots and floating the 4th drive from the bottom of the 5.25" mounts. Works out better in the end as the intakes for the cards have an unobstructed run from the two 92mm fans in the front.

Don't expect every game to play nice w/ the dual GPUs, some just don't do know what to do. And don't expect every game to play nice w/ XFire mode either.
