1 out of 5 eggsWorst Customer Support EVER!

Pros: May be the Price!!

Cons: Support is very slow. Online support only, It is taking more than a week to diagnose a problem causing system crash. Ita a Business Compuetr and the Card just died which is very frustrating Don't EVER buy from any company that does not have a support telephone number listed on their website. Don’t believe lifetime warranty story. They just want you to buy the product. When you have a problem it will take forever before it solve also you will not receive a new unit instead you will got refurbished one, what a joke!!!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Don’t believe lifetime warranty story. They just want you to buy the product. When you have a problem it will take forever before it solve also you will not receive a new unit instead you will got refurbished one, what a joke!!!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Support from XFX

Pros: Price

Cons: Support is lacking. Online support only, only one reply allowed in any 24 hour period. It is taking more than a week to diagnose a problem causing system crash. I am also getting completely different answers on what a particular jumper does - which is very frustrating at a time when replies come one work day at a time. Don't EVER buy from any company that does not have a support telephone number listed on their website.

Other Thoughts: Have bought many things from Newegg - this is the only product I have ever had a problem with.

4 out of 5 eggsGood warranty for a Nxidia card

Pros: Makes a big difference when you upgrade from an 8400GS!
Seriously, this card will game with just about any game out there with decency. I have one in my HTPC and it's overkill, but the HDMI is a deal breaker for me (no more S-Video).
Warranty is the best of any Nxidia based video cards out there. EXGA has backed off their warranty to 2 years, unless you spend at least $200

Cons: The Zalman heatsink could get plugged easily with dust. If you have a dusty environment, this may not be for you-unless you keep it clean.

Other Thoughts: Pretty good for yestertech. Nxidia really needs to create cooler running GPU's that can compete with ATX/AMX. All they seemed to be able to do is rehash the 8800GT. Card should probably be priced in the under $100 range for what you get. My house is cool in the winter, but I will use a heater and not a Fermi video card to do that......

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value for money (with rebate)

Pros: Price (after $30 rebate)
Performance (not cutting edge, but still very decent with modern games)
Lifetime warranty

Cons: These chipsets are getting "old" (in video card terms) - it dates back to the 8800 series.
It will probably get completely eclipsed soon on price by the GTS450....If there is no rebate on this 250 - don't buy.
No DX11 Support (but not really a major concern right now)

Other Thoughts: I bought this during a reasonably priced systems upgrade. Running with an Intel i3 540 processor, performance is very respectable - Crysis pretty smooth and slick on "High" (not "Very High") settings at 1680x1050. Price after rebate makes it $79, which is very competitive right now.....but if there was no rebate, really not that great of a deal, you might as well get a newer GTS450 for just a couple of dollars more (which is still a rebadged 8800, with a little more kick than the 250 though!).

4 out of 5 eggs2nd Time Was A Charm

Pros: The price / performance ratio could not be beat with AMD cards. My customer was thrilled with the performance in StarCraft II, which was the main concern.

Cons: The first card received caused artifacts and computer lockups. Newegg's RMA process was very smooth. Customer had replacement within 4 days.

Other Thoughts: I have been a fan of XFX quality for years, but the last few cards I have bought have had issues. I will be hesitant to buy XFX in the future

4 out of 5 eggsOK card that runs hot

Pros: Great price after rebate.
Nice looking black cooler and black PCB.
Quiet even at 100% fan speed.
Plays all but the most demanding games on high.
Double lifetime warranty (if registered in 30 days)

Cons: Runs hot. The cooler is basically a VF950 that is black with a 4 pin fan. I expected better from Zahlman.
Out of the box this thing idles at 62°C, at full load hits 85°C (with fan at 100%). This is in a case that had a 9800GTX+ with a dual slot cooler that ran at 51°C idle and 75°C load at 50% fan speed max.
Even running caseless this thing is hot (maybe 2°C cooler).
I replaced the stock TIM with MX2 which dropped the temps at load 4°C and idle about 3°C.

Stock clocks are lower than a "normal" 250. This one is 680/1756/1000, standard is 738/1836/1100 (but it can be overclocked to these speeds). I know it is stated in the specs and knew it going in, but it is something that some manufacturers are doing for some reason and you need to make sure you pay attention to it.

No heat sinks on memory (the fan does move air over them pretty well though). Some cheap aluminum heat sinks would have been nice (I added some).

Also a nit picky thing, they could have sleeved the wires.

Other Thoughts: I got this for 60 after rebate and discount code, so that is why it gets 4 eggs instead of 3 (the heat and lower clocks knock it down quite a bit). At full price, find something else, even with a rebate, there are better options.
For a cheap card that is not being used heavily or as a Physx card this is a good choice.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mid-Level Gaming Card

Pros: Very quiet, fan doesn't rev constantly. Small footprint, didn't have any issues fitting it in a mid-tower case. Power draw seems minimal, running a 575watt Logisys power supply and I'm not having any issues (Q6600, 4GB DDRII, Seagate 500GB drive) For $60 after rebate you really can't beat this card. Coming from a 9600GSO 768MB this card is much faster and capable of playing most of my games (Lord of the Rings Online and Left 4 Dead 2) maxed out without any issues

Cons: no DirectX 11 Support but I knew that going in

Other Thoughts: Get this card if you have a 500watt(ish) power supply and don't want to upgrade but do want a performance boost.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: This card churns out some nice performance for $109.99. I run Counter Strike: Source at max settings at 1080P on my Samsung LED-TV and get solid 100+ frames with an Intel Core 2 Due E6550 and 2gb ram. Pretty impressive card.

Cons: Not really any that I can think of. It's a lower to middle end card, but you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price

Pros: Fit easily into my Antec Sonata case, it's quite at idle with the 4 wire pwm fan it comes with. Price with the $30 rebate makes this a good card for the money. Life time warranty if you register with in 30 days.

Cons: Runs a little warm in my Sonata case, 54c at idle and 80c load. Most aftermarket coolers don't offer a fan with a 4 wire pwm fan.
Only 512mb of memory.

Other Thoughts: My 7600GT finally blew it's caps and died, this was a nice upgrade. Not a series gamer. But now with this card I can play most recent games with decent playable settings with no problem.
