5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Everything, Ran max FPS for everything I needed it for up till Guild Wars 2. then I had to lower the graphics settings down from ultra to keep a smooth performance.

Cons: the drivers had a crash at one point and the desktop would glitch funny on me for a while. I re-installed the drivers and the problem was fixed.

Other Thoughts: other than the brief problem with the drivers, this is a great Graphics card. I still use it after 2 years.

1 out of 5 eggsSo good but not for long

Pros: Runs everything great on my 1680x1040 LCD. I don't usually max games to ensure no drop in framerate but I'm sure I could on my system. No complaints until...see Cons

Cons: After about 4 months the card would crash Bad Company 2 and any Warhammer game frequently. I tried to troubleshoot everything involved with VGA crashes to no avail. XFX support never contacted me the first time I messaged them and am hoping for a response the second go around.

Other Thoughts: Would be 5 star for its performance/price ratio. The crashes and lack of support are unacceptable. I bought an ASUS 6950 to replace this and will rescind this review if I continue to get the same problems. Until then, this is staying a 1 egg.

3 out of 5 eggsBad Fan/Heatsink

Pros: Inexpensive card, with fine graphics capabilities.

Cons: Flimsy, the card itself sags in the computer. The fan died after 7 months, and didn't cool very well when it was working properly. I replaced it with a nice dual fan aftermarket cooler and now it works great. Take the fan and heatsink and throw it in the garbage.

Other Thoughts: Getting a decent chipset for a really low price should always make one suspicious. You DO get what you pay for to a degree. I ended up spending 60 dollars on a heatsink and fan which puts my final price closer to what I would have spent on a higher end 5850 to begin with. But the new heatsink looks very cool! (Zalman vf3000a).

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product

Pros: low idle power consumption
very quiet fan even at 100% speed
price finally down to msrp
stays cool even if overclocked as high as CCC will go
amazing frame rates in all games I play
easily fits into HAF 922
will probably get a second to crossfire once prices drop again

Cons: wasn't free
can't max out Crysis on max detail but what single card can?
doesn't cook me breakfast

Other Thoughts: 1055t @ 3.8 gzh turbo'd to 4.2 under a hyper 212+ push-pull

4 out of 5 eggsGPU is great. Drivers aren't...

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it on max settings.

It runs cool.

Great price/performance ratio.

Cons: Okay, so I almost RMA'd the card but I found a fix to my crashing problem. I under-clocked it to about 700 MHz and all my problems went away. It's not that big of a deal but the driver support is lacking from ATI. Windows 7 doesn't detect my card model and just show it as: "Adapter xx-xx"

Other Thoughts: It's a great GPU all around. But this is a classic example of how bad drivers can cripple an other-wise excellent piece of hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card

Pros: Very powerful. Run all my recent game full details and still got more than 80 fps.

Cons: This card is very big. Make sure you measure your case before buying.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast Comments..........

Pros: Hey Beast, let Windows 7 pick up the initial drive to get you started and then GO ON-LINE and download your drivers. I never use the set-up discs on any video card. It's a waste of time. Always go to the source and get the latest drivers. By the way...... the 5830 and the 5850 work wonderful croos fired together, very little difference between the two. The 5830 uses the 5850's drivers anyway.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The best VC's out there for the money...........

5 out of 5 eggsThe guys a -ing idiot that trash talks Radeon

Pros: about >>BEASTs review <<< wow what a j-erk! That person knows nothing about high end game box building and or probably is a NVIDIA GeForce fanboy! He is a trash talker. The ATI Radeon CARDS ARE SUPER no issues Drivers the latest are very good and work perfectly well. read the bulk of reviews and you'll see. I changed from the only other option Nvidia GeForce years ago back in the GT GTX 8800 days.Yes been that long ago. And happy i did

I-diot says he spent a 1,000 dollars on building a computer? ahhhahaa Ok thats not much? and i would expect the fool to have all types on unsolvable issues. Blame Radeon and XFX actually any ATI Radeon product for your cutting corners $$ and expecting something for nothing? wow please get a life and stop the trash talk GeForce fanboys

Cons: Todays newbies, those less experienced in higher end game box builds that trash talk Radeon , and ATI drivers etc.. GeForce boys they are still out there, and they have limited knowledge on how to build a real gamer.

Other Thoughts: I have owned ATI for years now, not one gave me any trouble. I have owned 5850, 5830, 5770, and the 4800 series cards NO ISSUES ever! If i did that was cause in the early ATI driver days there was a path to follow when updating drivers. Many will just try to overwrite drivers did not follow ATI online instructions. I can believe those that have issues THAT DO NOT LEAVE ANY INFO ON THEIR HARDWARE to be just that! They didn't do the research and or started out buying trash parts and now blame ATI on the fact that they trying to cut corners and place inferior parts w/ highend parts. Bottleneck by not upgrading other older outdated parts

If you are a newbie builder research all before you begin.DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE THAT GIVE 0 EGGS. right off the bat trash a video card. Assume that person has other issues (which they do) You'll just make a - of yourself if you fall into their trap. There are many many of us that actually know. And the truth is GeForce is not best not bad but not Radeon

1 out of 5 eggsWow...

Pros: Nice price. That's it...

Cons: Drivers are really bad. So bad that games are not playable due to frequent crashes. I've had nothing but trouble from the start. I've tried every driver ever made for this card and they all crash. I spent over $1000 building a computer I can't do anything with.

Other Thoughts: This would be a great card if the drivers weren't so bad. I don't think I'm ever buying ATI again, this has been a nightmare. Don't bother with this card. Just go Nvidia.
