5 out of 5 eggsTried and true

Pros: Pros -
Still maxing out (1920x1200 no AA one monitor) all the games I throw at it, 2 years later.

Stays very cool even at high load, my past 4850s Crossfired gave me a 90c temp often, part of the reason why I got this card.

The fan is pretty quiet

Cons: Cons -
In today's standards 1GB of Vram is not much but is enough. Its more than most game consoles.

A little heavy in the power, but if you came from crossfiring 2 4850s for a few years and going through a few power supplies, well this is nothing.

Other Thoughts: Overall this was a great card. Never got around to reviewing it till after it was discontinued, but oh well.

4 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: All settings maxed for HL2, DOD:Source, Portal & Diablo 3 and runs flawless with a Thermaltake 550W power supply. Supported by an Intel E8400, ECS motherboard, Crucial Ballistix DDR2800 4GB and a 60GB OCZ SSD.

Cons: Newegg is out of stock for a second purchase for Crossfire.

4 out of 5 eggsThey were Great

Pros: Handle'd almost everything at Max'd settings... a year ago.
I can blaze through Crysis. with shadows low, AA tuned down. etc.
I really thought much higher of these cards when i bought them for my first build. They get the Job done for a budget PC. which is why i bought them.

Cons: 1st. Noise. These fans, are terrible, I brought this pc to my office at work. pretty leisure environment, Free power bill. So the perfect place right? Wrong. Thing is louder than a semi storming through the place. Cards idle at like 48C, and if they get under even the slightest load, expect at least 65C.

Custom Fan profiles helped somewhat, but there was just no cooling these bad boys.

Running Eyefinity was a joke. I should have read up on it more to be fair. But needing special DVI Active adapters is rediculous. With two of these in Crossfire, i cant even get the performance i would expect across three monitors. I imagine the bottleneck at the VRAM. but after all the hassle to get three monitors set up and rocking, and to have line tearing, and very slow responses when moving windows. (on the desktop. Not even in game)

I am all around disappointed. When it was just one little 21 inch 1080 monitor, these were great, Go any bigger, and no dice.

Other Thoughts: I give them a 4, they do what they should. I think i just expected to much. But if your like me and have plans on spanning out in the future. These cards were not future proof for me, not even a year proof.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Have been overclocking it gpu 1000 and mem 1150. Used to be able to run it at 90% fan speed then it turned to 100% before over heat. i own two of them and work great together. AMD steped up there game with the bad drivers they used to have to there awesome auto detect driver.

Cons: Now that the graphic cards are almost 2 years old, i have not been able to overclock them all the way. The sit at 950, and 1075. Any higher and the cards over heat, but thats my fault, i'm to lazy to put another coat of thermal on the gpu. Only problem with these cards compared to the other cards out there is that 1 fan. but for the price they were at compared to the others it's worth it.

Other Thoughts: maybe about every year you should put new thermal on the gpu

4 out of 5 eggsPowerful Card

Pros: Great card. Has lots of power and can run almost everything at high. I upgraded from a 5770 and this card is powerful enough so that I can skip the 7000 series. Eyefinity is great!

Cons: This is my first reference design card. It looks really nice but it's not as quiet as the Double D series or non-reference coolers. If you have the option, go with the Double D series because it's more silent.

3 out of 5 eggsA great card - but loud!

Pros: The card is fast, stable, and has been able to run everything I've thrown at it over the last year at very high settings.

Cons: The fan is louder than any other video card I've ever had - and it's gotten worse over time. It's to the point where when playing games and talking with people on Ventrilo, they complain about the background noise...

Other Thoughts: I wish there was a way to deal with the fan noise. It's made a 5-egg product a regretted purchase.
