3 out of 5 eggsWas great while it worked

Pros: This was a really great video card for the 6 weeks that it worked. I was playing SWTOR with everything turned up to the highest video settings and had great FPS...usually between 60 and 120...60 being when in heavy combat situations in the game.

Cons: Only worked for 6 weeks before I started getting graphical rendering anomalies and artifacts even on the windows login screen. Games like SWTOR locked up especially during cutscenes.

Runs very hot. The one fan on this card is simply not good enough. The case I have is well ventilated with 3 200mm fans and one 120mm fan but it isn't enough. Maybe with a more elaborate cooling system it would be okay

Other Thoughts: This is my first XFX card and I already bought a different brand to replace it. I will get it replaced and crossfire it with the video card I have on the way and hopefully a reduced load on this will allow it to run at a lower temperature.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Had this for 2 months now. Works like a champ with a MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) inside an Antec Nine Hundred case.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsCard is OK - XFX doesn't reply to e-mails

Pros: Card is so far running fine. No functional issues.
I cannot get my rebate anyway so I have no comments regarding the rebate.

Cons: As everybody else mentioned already, XFX customer service EQUALS ABSOLUTE ZERO.
I sent them two e-mails asking the same question (after registering the card) and I've got no answer so far (2 weeks).

1 out of 5 eggsCard is fine, XFX refuses to honor rebates

Pros: No issues with the hardware, this is an indictment of XFX customer service.

Cons: Manufacturer won't honor rebate requests. Shame on you, XFX.

Other Thoughts: If you're deciding on a product, and an XFX rebate promotion is about to become your deciding factor, forget about it. Make your decision on the card alone and don't count on getting that rebate.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Board, terrible customer service

Pros: The board runs somewhat smoothly. It looks real cool in my red/black rig. Well rounded internal design

Cons: The metal casing around the fan acts like a g** d*** heating element. I cant play GTA4 without my temps running upwards of 75C. And when the fan on the card speeds up to compensate for it, it sounds like runway 27L at London Heathrow. All of this is ok because there is such a thing as after-market VGA cooling. So I called XFX support (primarily because they refused to send me the rebate they advertise on newegg) only to find out that XFX is one of the few companies that says "Hey if you don't like our product, deal with it. Oh, and if you deal with it, your warranty expires."

Other Thoughts: Overall, Im never going to buy an XFX product ever again. They didn't honor the rebate on the card. They're video card cooling sucks and on top of that, you cannot do anything about it if you want to maintain a valid warranty on the card. That, at least in my eyes, isn't acceptable for any modern computer parts manufacturing company

4 out of 5 eggsSolid card after rebate

Pros: -this card is very fast for anything up to 1920x1200 even at 4x AA
-compatible and silent
-double precision FP rates are high for those using OPENCL apps

Cons: -no dual bios
-doesn't seem to take a 6970 bios updgrade or shader unlock w/o hardware circuitry mods
-doesn't OC especially well on default voltages (880 / 1350 are max stable for me)
-can screw up when several dozen hardware accelerated flash video contexts are open simultaneously (driver issue)

Other Thoughts: This is a great card if you can get it rebate to push it down to around $220; the 6870 is better bang for the buck, but this card provides better architecture (VLIW 4) and superior DP floating point capabilities.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat performing 6950 card!

Pros: - Factory OC @ 830mhz/1300mhz (core/memory)
- XFX Lifetime Warranty
- Free Dirt 3 game (limited time)
- Shorter form factor (10.2")
- Sleek black design
- Great OC abilities (core/memory)
- Sapphire Trixx compatible
- Adjustable voltage

Cons: - Only has 1 fan
- Runs very hot under heavy load
- Cooler releases heat inside the case
- Heat might be an issue for 2 in crossfire
- Fan is noticeably loud at 65% speed or above
- Not recommended for quiet machines

Other Thoughts: - Download updated drivers from AMD. There are gains to be had in drivers from these 6950 cards.

- The card performs really well alongside an OCed (3.2Ghz) AMD Athlon II X4. Games are very smooth and framerate is better than expected.

- The XFX single fan design NEEDS a well ventilated case to stay cool under heavy load situations like gaming and benchmarking. I found the ATI automatic fan setting too not be sufficient for my needs. Sapphire Trixx software allowed me to create a custom fan profile and now the temps are manageable.

- The card overclocks very well and I've gotten it up to 945/1400 (1.175v) stable using Trixx. Although I game at lower clocks 930/1350 (1.175v). 880/1350 was possible at stock voltages.

- Works well on the BF3 (beta) with the 11.10 drivers and a mix of high/ultra settings + AA high + AF 16x + HBAO @ 1080p.

- I plan to buy a second one for crossfire when I upgrade my cpu and motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsLovely graphics card

Pros: - Fast
- Quiet
- No driver issues
- Good bang for your buck
- Good temps when idling (usually about 35)

Cons: - Big; it was difficult to connect another harddrive with it in the way

Other Thoughts: I'm running this with an Intel 2500K and 8GB of ram (GSkill Ripjaw,) and I couldn't be happier. No issues at all, which is great considering that this was my first build.
