4 out of 5 eggsXFX Support is AMAZING

Pros: -Ran anything I threw at it. When it couldn't handle ultra for newer games, I could tweak the power and fan settings to keep it running cool while maxxing out my games.
-Quiet
-I recently started having trouble with it and called XFX Support. Not only do I have a lifetime warranty on this thing, but taking off the heat sink apparently DOES NOT void the warranty. I was able to speak to a human being within 3 minutes of calling. No irritating menus, very professional and helpful tech support.

Cons: -Started overheating on me and causing issues after 2 years of use.

Other Thoughts: I will definitely be purchasing my next video card from XFX.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! As always... If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and let us know. neweggsupport@xfxforce.com

3 out of 5 eggsNear constant driver issues

Pros: This card has a slick case and good cooling system. It looks pretty in my case. It runs most of what I throw at it on medium to high settings. It works when the drivers don't crash.

Cons: I have never had so many driver issues with a video card before. Almost once a week I have to re-install the drivers for this card. While playing BF3 I get a weird white flair up in game that covers the entire screen (the card isn't overheating.) Random flickers and blue screens while playing other games. The video driver crashes constantly. This card has driven me to Nvidia

Other Thoughts: I like this card when it works, but its driver issues keep me from enjoying this card. Took 2 eggs off for the driver issues, otherwise it's a good card. (all drivers are updated for my computer but there are still issues)

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Croat, We're sorry you are having issues with this card. There are 2 ways to fix this issue. Please contact me at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com to get started. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful Card that runs cool

Pros: Runs very cool, I run the fans around 80% without adding any noise from the system. Card runs great for any games I throw at it and it stays nice and cool.

Cons: It is a big card, anyone purchasing this should be running a decent sized system for gaming anyway so that should not be a problem.

Other Thoughts: 2 fans that are silent, heatpipes that do their job and look good, and a decent price before it was discontinued. Should last me until I decide I need even more power.

5 out of 5 eggsA year later still going strong

Pros: Stable, quiet, plays anything I throw at it on highest detail

Cons: Discontinued.

Other Thoughts: Probably (hopefully) will be at least a couple of years before games catch up to it, requiring an upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card!

Pros: Cool temps. As with my other card, if the temps run a little hot (never really happens during gaming, only during 100% use scenario's such as burn-in's and bit mining do the temps run a little high) just turn on the manual fan control in AMD's CCC and crank the fans up to 80% or so and the temperatures will drop to a safer sub 70's C level.

Amazing speed and capacity. Can run anything I throw at it! With crossfire it detects as one 3gb card.

Still falls under XFX's double lifetime warranty! (See OTs)

I run it crossfired with an MSI card with the same spec's and honestly, it seriously blows the competition away. I really wish they wouldn't have discontinued the 6900 series.

I haven't bothered to OC or unlock it. No need to really. The MSI I bought was used and unlocked to 6970 already, so technically I'm running a 6950 and 6970 CX'd. I keep the MSI as my primary, however, and the XFX is my secondary card.

Cons: None so far. I guess in today's age with PCIe 3.0 you could say being only PCIe 2.1 could be a con. But for it's time, that was the standard and the speed between the two is negligible.

Other Thoughts: I'm somewhat disappointed that XFX has discontinued their lifetime warranty. To me, that pride and integrity directed towards their products has always been a strong selling point. It metaphorically said "Hey, our products are great and we so thoroughly believe that, that we put a lifetime warranty behind them-no we'll put a DOUBLE lifetime warranty behind them." However, that pride is now gone. And in direct correlation, I have noticed a negative direction in reviews of XFX products across the internet. This card, however, still has that warranty, and still performs above the standard.

I run this card in crossfire with an "MSI R6950-2PM2D2GD5 Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit" and I have yet to bog these things down. Did a test with bitmining and ended up generating around 350-380MH/s with each card. Slightly more with my MSI 6970. I don't have any burn-in fps stats on hand, unfortunately, and am not at my computer to do a quick test.

I run through HDMI to an LG 42'' TV as my monitor. Maybe one day I will switch over to DVI or maybe use some actual gaming monitors. But the TV serves its' purpose beautifully :)

It's unfortunate that companies have discontinued all these 69xx cards. Some of us would rather grab another one to crossfire, as opposed to upgrading to the 7xxx series. I know other users have expressed that they're upset about it. I was frustrated too, which is why I had to buy used/refurbished :( oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card

Pros: This card. I have no problems at all. It works, works very well, and is quiet. I used to have a 6950, and it was so loud when performance was needed. No issues, it's a workhorse, and I put it through the paces consistently. It's not overclocked any, and I haven't seen a need for it. As far as benchmarking goes, I run everything in high or ultra graphics settings, switching between 1600x1900 on a LED monitor using DVI and 32" LED TV using HDMI.

Cons: None really, nothing caused by the video card or manufacturer. Some issues with Windows 8 when it went retail, but since have been solved.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: This card is just amazing, i had to leave a review of how happy i am with it after a year, i am sad it got discontinued :( this card was running bf3 and anything i throw at it on ultra in my current rig over 70 fps :) its just amazing, no noise, runs cool, eyefinity tech., cant ask for more.

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: After a year i came back to buy a second one to crossfire :( now the price its skyrocking lol i got it anyways, it is worth it for me.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome UPS

Pros: This UPS is clearly awesome! I bought one back in September and run two computers in my office off of it and have never run into a problem. I work in film and must have a computer running and working at optimum power 24/7. I also happen to live in a home where the electrical wires haven't been replaced since the dawn of electricity. So I was getting a lot of dirty electrical currents but this thing fixed the problem as soon as I plugged it in. By my surprise my computers started to run incredibly better once I set up the UPS. If you have valuable electronics and data you can not afford to loose, picking up this UPS is a definite start for your protection.

Cons: I've had this thing since September of this year and haven't had one complaint. It's just worth it!

Other Thoughts: None
