5 out of 5 eggsMy First Card

Pros: What a difference between DVI and HDMI . . . Even my tired "ol eyes can see the difference. Why, well I have no clue!

Cons: Even if there is one, I wouldn't know it . . . Not a "gamer".

Other Thoughts: Equipment
Biostar: TA785GE 128M
Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 955
Monitor: ASUS 23" HDMI

2 out of 5 eggsTook my WEI down!

Pros: This card *seems* to have improved graphics performance. Moving windows around seem zippier, but otherwise everything seem to be the same as the integrated Intel video chipset I used to run on. It's pretty cheap, but maybe you get what you pay for.

Cons: My Windows Experience Score was 4.8 with the integrated video chipset. With this card, it went DOWN to 3.2. I didn't think that was possible, especially compared to an integrated Intel video chipset!

Other Thoughts: I am on Win 7 64bit, an HP Slimline with an Core i3 and integrated Intel video. I registered the product and opened a ticket with XFX on their site 5 days ago. I did not receive any feedback yet. Hopefully I will change my rating if they can help me figure this out.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid unit for the price

Pros: Allows multiple monitors.

No extra power connection required.

Hdmi to my tv. Had a built in sound processor, so did audio with fairly easily. Great for watching movies on the big screen.

Support was very good to me. Fan was making a noise, created an online ticket and after a few verification questions XFX mailed me a replacement fan for free!

Lifetime warranty with registration within 30 days.

Cons: Has trouble on newer games, but for the price I wasnt expecting much, was surprised that modern warfare 2 seemed to work ok though.

Fan had some issues, but their support's prompt help in sending a free replacement turned that into a pro.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: an image shows on the monitor

Cons: The HDMI did not do sound only video. others have had this problem. The hdmi on the mother board's graphics card worked fine.

They do not honor their rebates. They lied and said it was purchased the wrong date. I will never buy another XFX product. It's the only rebate I never got. I will also contact the BBB about this.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Support

Pros: While it worked, it was fine.

Cons: The fan got stuck, causing the card to overheat and the machine to shut down. I created a support ticket with XFX online to request an RMA number. They shot off a form reply that asked questions even though I had already provided the information they were requesting. I answered the questions anyway, and I've been waiting for days to get a response. Today I called their phone support, and it's closed for the entire day for "training".

Other Thoughts: Even if the card worked, which it doesn't, I wouldn't buy anything else from this company.

2 out of 5 eggsBuyer beware!

Pros: I works...kinda.

Cons: PERFORMANCE- WEI 7 64bit Ultimate is sadly just a 3.9 for graphics and 5.9 for gaming for all who are wondering. I know this is a 4650 1gb card, and I don't have high expectations for it . However I have another 4650 512mb card that blows this one away with half the DDR2 memory...WHY? Also MY onboard video has better graphics as well.

REBATE - I printed out the new egg invoice and noticed the date reflected for the purchase was 2 days after the actual one day only rebate offer. Sounds like a way out scam for XFX.

Other Thoughts: This card is definitely being returned for the lack of performance and the rebate contradiction dates. Decent card for the $20 or so, but definitely not worth the $50 ballpark figure.

2 out of 5 eggs64-bit not 128-bit

Pros: Quiet. Doesn't need seperate power.

Cons: I can confirm what another reviewer discovered, this is only 64-bit. I ran GPU-Z to confirm. Memory bandwidth is only 7.2 GB/s. I feel cheated. But for the cost ($23 if I get the rebate) I will just use it as a spare.

Other Thoughts: Newegg probably got their specs from XFX, who also state this is a 128-bit card on their website. I have many other products from XFX and have never had an issue. One other concern, the rebate form instructions required me to sign it, but there is no place to sign. Feels like a trap.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: Very easy upgrade in my Dell Precision 670 workstation. seems to be a quality card. very clean board.

Cons: runs a little hot

Other Thoughts: The ATI 128MB card (came with the system) could not handle running a 24" Wide screen and a Wacom Cintiq 15X, might have been bad drivers??? but now it runs amazing! I'm really happy with this card. everything looks nice and crisp. and if I get the rebate, it will be that much better!!
