5 out of 5 eggsXFX Delivers

Pros: 1. Quiet when running idle or low intensity games
2. Delivers the power you need when you need it

Cons: 1. Gets slightly high volume when running graphics intense games (e.g. Skyrim)

Other Thoughts: I have two of these in a Crossfire X setup in my system and they work perfectly. They have stood up to every game I thrown at them and I am likely to keep using them up until the successor the the Radeon HD 7XXX appears.

On a side note: Every graphics processor I have ever used in my self built systems have come from XFX and they have all delivered.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! If you ever have an issue with this card, so a question, please contact our XFX Support team at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Runs all games in max settings no problem! Never gets near max temps. It can be overclocked so it can keep up with newer games for a little while. Great price, came with free game.

Cons: Sucker gets loud when your gaming with high graphics. Hard to clean.

Other Thoughts: I use this video card to run a 32" 1080 3D TV. I use HDMI to a 3d receiver, then HDMI to the tv. I also run an external monitor that is used occasionally. The video card seems very reliable and thats what I wanted most. For the price it was a very good purchase that I am very happy with.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: This card can run a lot of games at good graphic settings. It runs pretty cool and quiet.

Cons: The one thing I don't like about this is that it requires two 6 pin connectors. Which is odd because most 6850s only need one. The card isn't overclocked; so why the two 6 pin connectors?

Other Thoughts: I only got the XFX one because it was on sale. Otherwise I would've picked a different brand.

5 out of 5 eggsi love my card

Pros: runs games awsome even with a slower cpu. plays games at 1080 very well. skyrim, blacklight, batman, my cpu is holding it back though i think because sometimes theres a stutter in skyrim but most the time its awsome, could be my hard drive when it loads the world, my cpu is a celeron g530 sandy bridge and it still does 1080. i need to get an i5

Cons: none, for some reason a dvi didn't work, i could be missing some instructions. could be my card. everything else is on track though. i bought the card somewhere else just to let you know.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card and Company

Pros: 1. Efficient - Only draws, at most, 150w from the PSU and that is a high value at a heavy load. Very efficient

2. Battlefield 3 - Set to "Auto" everything is on "High" and stays at 50+ FPS. Switched to Ultra and it dropped to 20-30 FPS. Still a lovely card and after putting in 180 hours on the Xbox version the difference in the visuals is astounding.

3. XFX - not only is this card great but the company is as well. When I initially put my rig together I had an issue with Battlefield 3 stalling out after 25-30 minutes. After reading online for quite a while I came to the conclusion that the card was to blame. Opened a claim ticket and within hours it was responded too. Turns out my RAM was bad (yes I know to check that first with memtests and whatnot now) but their response and assistance in the matter was very professional. Also got the rebate very quickly.

4. Reorder - I liked this card and company so much that I ordered another to Crossfire them. Can't go wrong with XFX and

Cons: 1. Powering it - It does require 2 6 pin PCI-E connectors. I should have read that but I must have missed it. Not a huge problem but I only had an OCZ ZT 650w and while it did have 2 PCI-E 6 pin connectors, it cannot support another card (which I just ordered) so make sure if you plan to Crossfire these cards that you ahve 4 PCI-E 6 pin connectors coming out of your PSU (OCZ ZT 750w has this which is what I picked up).

Other Thoughts: Liked this card so much that I purchased another on here to Crossfire. It runs great and I have had no issues. You can't go wrong (especially at ~130 for this thing) Great for a mid budget gaming PC.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks awesome!

Pros: -Most graphics settings can be turned to maximum now.
-Cools & quiets down quickly after gaming session done.
-Awesome price/performance ratio.
-More than enough outputs :)

Cons: -Requires 2 6-pin connections. Reference design calls for just one.
-Can get loud while gaming but no problem if you have a headset.
-Not too many overclocking options but I don't need to anyway.
-Can get toasty at full load. 75C under FurMark.

Other Thoughts: I started building a budget gaming PC with an i5 3450 & 8GB RAM. So far no hiccups or errors. Always remember to use the latest drivers!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Big Card!

Pros: Not too loud or hot, stays about 35C at normal computing. And I run Diablo III on highest settings.

Cons: Giant card, still fit in my case fine. I could see how others could have a problem with it.

Other Thoughts: Mail in rebate takes a really long time.

1 out of 5 eggsOverheats.

Pros: It was a great card while it lasted...

Cons: started to overheat after 7 months. I didn't OC or anything. I couldn't figure out why my computer was shutting down randomly. so I swapped video cards with my other gaming machine and I realized the fan wasn't spinning, and after 5 mins of gameplay, sure enough, the other machine shut down as well. Also, on top of the overheating, the video card stopped recognizing my second monitor. Monitor kept coming up with "no signal". after hooking up my Nvidia card, the second monitor popped right up. So either the second DVI port went out, or it just doesn't like my monitor (Acer AL2216W)

Other Thoughts: I've had a 9800gtx+ in my other machine for 4 years now, never had any issues. I've always been an Nvidia fan, but decided to be open-minded with this build and I built ATI. Never again! Drivers sucked too.
It's a shame, though, because I'm a huge fan of AMD processors. Wish they could get their video cards straightened out.
