1 out of 5 eggsGreat card while it lasted...

Pros: The card was a beast and could handle anything at maxed settings and high resolutions (1080p+). You could even overclock it to about 13-15% with the 20% voltage increase and default cooling.

Cons: The card started to artifact at about 8 months and now at the 1 year mark, the card is artifacting even worse, to the point I don't dare play any games as I won't be able to see anything on the output display.

Other Thoughts: It was a nice card while it lasted, but after reviews of XFX technical support and how long it takes to get a replacement, I have decided to no longer purchase any XFX video cards. Waiting around 3+ weeks for a mediocre support group to send a replacement card is not worth my time.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we're sorry you are having trouble with your 7950. Please contact me at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com to get your RMA started. The RMA turnaround time is 24-48 hours at most. Shipping can take longer, 1-5 days each way, but its very quick. Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware!!!

Pros: Looks great when it works!

Cons: Recently I've been testing quite a few video cards as I am an Electrical Engineer and work with Adaptive Technologies. This particular card was originally defective out of the box, and the replacement went out about a month after installation. Not only did it "go out" but it also flatlined my system. I've moved onto another manufacturer and am pleased so far with my 7970 edition. I am going to RMA this card for an Aux. PC and wanted to let the community know about my particular issues. I run top tier components and tested all the hardware in my PC. Everything else was fine...

Other Thoughts: Check all your options and beware of overclocked cards as I always see no or very minimal improvement from this level of a card unless you just need the unlocked features on that particular model.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper fast

Pros: Super fast.
About the same size as my 3 year old Nvidia GPU.
It gets a 7.8 (out of 7.9) on my Windows experience index for both "Graphics" and "Gaming Graphics".
Very quiet, although probably the loudest part of my build.

Cons: Only one fan (although it does have a heatsink running all along the card behind the fan). This could be bad for someone if they're overclocking, as you'd have to really watch the heat.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful Card - Single Fan option

Pros: Aesthetics:
The card itself is beautiful. XFX knows hardware design, and I confidently state that the 7000 series has the most streamlined and well-designed cards they've made yet. The brushed silver metal contrasting the black logo and highlighting looks amazing, and the true-to-form red Radeon strip on the top adds epic depth, as well as perfectly matches my all red case and computer setup.

Performance:
The card has not stuttered at a single game I have thrown at it. At 1080p: Crysis 2 ULTRA (55-60 FPS average), Crys ULTRA (60 FPS avg), Battlefield 3 ULTRA (55 avg fps), Sleeping Dogs ULTRA+High Res Texture Pack (avg 45-50 fps) [Note that my framerate sometimes drops not due to the card, but rather due to my non-overclocked i7 2600).
I am running 3 monitors (1x1080p, 1x1600x900, 1x1366x768) without a hiccup. I never see input lag. Transitioning between monitors is flawless. I can run any of the aforementioned games at full specs and still get full FPS, while running a video or itunes visualizer on a 2nd/3rd monitor.

Features:
EyeFinity/3+ Extended Desktops works great, only issue was that I had to purchase a $30 Active display converter (DVI to MiniDisplay), which was a minor annoyance.

Cons: Idle temperature rather hot (56-58*C), single fan rather loud on 75% speed.

Other Thoughts: *NOTE: This is the single fan option. Newegg wasn't necessarily clear on which one I was purchasing, but this IS a single fan, though it is in fact overclocked to the following specs:
900Mhz Core
1375 Memory
This being said, this is the fastest core clocks of any of the XFX 7950s, including the Double Dissipation (dual-fans) options. However, being only single fan, the card runs several (17) degrees Celsius hotter than the DD options. Thus, if you are considering overclocking, choose that option.

OVERALL:
This card is great, match it with a boss processor (overclocked i7 2600k or higher) and you will never experience a lick of lag or frustration. Kudos to XFX for this build.

1 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: None

Cons: Didn't work. Booted to windows, but any significant stress caused it to shut the system down. Pulled power from all drives (DVD, Hard drives) except the boot drive and the same happened. Temperature monitoring program did not show terribly excessive heat (it did get hot, but not to a worrisome level) when it dropped. Tried reinstalling drivers, etc. Could play Portal 1, but not Portal 2. SmallLux died just as it was kicking into gear.

Other Thoughts: Didn't realize I was getting an overclocked version, maybe that was the problem, poorly binned chip. RMA'd for a refund and I will NOT be getting an overclocked version.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: This card is incredible. Everything I've played on it is smooth, with the graphics turned up. I'm running at 1920x1080, and I have a second monitor that I keep open while playing to watch videos, check email etc. I'm very happy with the quality.

Cons: The first card I received died after 3 days. I RMAed it, got a new one and it has been just fine since then.

5 out of 5 eggsand, I got to write this review.. .

Pros: What an unbelieviable video card! I jumped on this at it's cheapest! The speed of this card makes me wonder what's so good about the GeForce GTX680 card. Ablsolutely flawless video. Great color and detail, too. At the price I got it for, there's no denying what a good deal it is. Who'd complain the absolute slowest fps on BF3 ultra is 60! Awesome! Totally Awesome!

Cons: Nothing. Overclocked it to 1000. Whoa, no need to even do that!

Other Thoughts: It's a big card! Couldn't fit in my computer! Because I have a mini tower, I had to revert back to a modified 2gb HD7850. Why? Because the cooling fan assembly hit the I/O inputs at the bottom of the mobo! Aaagggh! So I gave to a friend who needed an upgrade-so he could join us in BF3. And this review is what I'd witness after we installed it. Well, needless to say, my modified HD7850 aint bad at all. In fact, I can blitz everything except in ultra turned up in BF3. Just a fraction of pinch in lag (haven't overclock it, yet). Hats off to AMD for making awesome cards. I'm off to build a new computer. For any who wants to know my little machine, it's an old i7 920, 0R849J intel mt usb2 mb, XFX pro750 psu, 8gb Kingston HyperX, 750gb WD7200 sata3, XFX HD7850 video card. Windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: This is a great card. Can play skyrim at max settings.

Cons: price maybe but you get what you pay for

Other Thoughts: If anyone has display driver issues try enabling xmp mode or manually adjusting your memory timings. That fixed it for me.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh performance at a decent price

Pros: - fast
- runs cool

Cons: - none at all, to date

Other Thoughts: There isn't much to be said except that this card is the business. There isn't a game on the market I can't run maxed out and do so without a hitch at all. The card handles Battlefield 3, Witcher 2, Arkham City, Metro 2033, Crysis 2 (with DX 11 and Hi Res mods turned on) with aplomb - again, with everything maxed out. For reference I'm using an i5-2500k and have used it mostly at stock speeds; and the games are all running off mechanical drives. The card is powerful, quiet and runs cool. Will likely by a second for Crossfire before I upgrade to a different card altogether.

3 out of 5 eggsBad card, outstanding support!

Pros: XFX tech support and Newegg customer support rock! Replacement for a bad card was in my hands 2 days after I received it.

Cons: This card would fail (black or white screens) whenever the higher functions (3D, etc) where engaged. XFX diagnosed very quickly, and Newegg had a replacement on the way within an hour of me taking this card out of the box.
