5 out of 5 eggswhat is love?

Pros: in the past 2 years this card has been my baby she is even today with the release of the r9 300 series relavent as the r9 370x is simply a rebrand of this gpu.
it can play every game I have pushed at it so far and does it great

Cons: the top bar is orange! THE FUKE XFX I thought it was red!
orange doesn't match shift!

Other Thoughts: I cant believe I paid $230 for this card :\ but I guess it was worth it

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the review, we really appreciate you taking the time to write it.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

And also, i have some Black XFX side logos if you prefer that... says 270x i think though. http://cdn.agilitycms.com/xfx/Promotions/BestBuy2015RadeonRewards/R9-270X-CDFR-card-only.png

2 out of 5 eggsStopped working at 2 years and 7 months

Pros: Worked for 2 years and 7 months.

Cons: First fan stopped working last year. Second one is now acting up. Had to take it out because it was overheating even at idle. Next card definitely won't be an XFX.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Cody,

We're sorry you are having issues with your 7870. Please create a ticket at xfxsupport.com and email me the ticket #, ill get your RMA sorted out quickly so we can get it replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsStrong GPU going on 1 year

Pros: Plays new, medium level games on ultra settings without a hitch; runs quietly.

Cons: Not inexpensive.

Other Thoughts: I have a three-year-old rig that I (fingers crossed) hopefully won't have to seriously overhaul for another year or two, and this GPU was my only upgrade to date when I got it (11 months ago). It's been a great card, and the best thing about it is the CrossFireX support, as it gives me the option of simply buying a second one of these (which will likely be cheap by the time I look to upgrade again) instead of just dropping real money on a new/fancy GPU.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Matthew,

Thank you for the great review, we are happy you are pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent support

Pros: Fast
Stable
Good support

Cons: Fans quit working

Other Thoughts: I bought this card in 2012. By July 2015 one fan had quit and the other was failing. I contacted XFX support, and they sent me new fans free of charge. I was very impressed with their support of a card that was 2.5 years old. I would buy from XFX again.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Customer support

Pros: worked well in all the games I played usually high to very high setting

Cons: for some reason my card was always about 5-10c higher then my buddie's card of the same model. never bother me enough to rma it though

Other Thoughts: Card finally died on me after 3 years , was only able to boot into safe mode in windows 7. RMA the card and talked to a Michael, thanks to life time warranty it was found defective and was sent a brand new XFX Double D R9-270X-CDFC as a replacement, quite happy with it now too. Will definetly buy XFX again for my next amd/ati card

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, lasts long

Pros: - Runs very cool
- OC'd very high and still performs great
- Has an ok look, wish it was black
The card has been running perfect for almost 3 years, ive (voided the warrenty) replaced the thermal compound every year.
I also clean it every 4 months

Cons: - ugly color
- Wish is was faster
- kinda expensive
- Low memory.

Other Thoughts: I bought a gtx 960 but returned it because it didnt perform as well.
Sadly, this card runs terribly on gta v at normal settings, while the cheaper, gtx 960, runs substantially higher, at maxed graphics.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate your kind words

1 out of 5 eggsNot a Company to do Buisiness With

Pros: Works pretty well. Won't Make Skyrim run on ultra with all the ENB and realistic mods, but it will run most well enough. Anything below that will run fine.

Alien isolation- mostly decent frames, but not liquid smooth (like the Geforce GTX 960 though).

It lasted about 2 years, 9 months. Artifacts.

Cons: Can't do PhysX
Support is a joke... If you buy XFX for their lifetime warranties; expect an abysmal experience.

Other Thoughts: Useless support. Waited 4 days after initial troubleshooting with NO response from their support team. Had to switch from being nice to showing my ___ before receiving a response stating, "Everytime you respond to your ticket, it re-ques your ticket." <-------- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! "Everytime" is TWO words! Besides that- what ticket management system do they use?! Imagine how that'd fly in the real world! That's either a bold-face attempt to lie to an assumed ignorant consumer, or the most counter-productive ticketing system in the history of IT support. The 6 days it took to have my ticket expedited to RMA status is what lost my monetary support for XFX. Unacceptable.... Other than that, the graphics card itself wasn't horrible; although it was the first one I've owned that failed on me before I upgraded.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello JN,

We're sorry you had a dissapointing experience. Unfortunately, our system truly works as we have told you. The highest priority ticket is the ticket with the oldest response from the customer.

We're sorry you are having issues with your 7870, but we are happy your RMA has been arranged and are still replacing it under warranty for you.

Ps. Everytime, everywhere, everything, everyone, (every prefix, followed by suffix-Noun). As a scientist, i recognize time as first a noun, then adjective, thus, everytime is no longer the standalone bastardized "Every-(NOUN)." Just because Merriam-Webster had a problem with "everytime," doesnt make it the english law. Agree to disagree. =)

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Graphics Card I Have Ever Used.

Pros: - Good with CCC
- Fan speed can be controlled very well
- Had a lot of power, but couldn't handle the heat (literally)

Cons: -Runs too hot
- Bang for your buck
-Computer fail-safe system had to shut off card when temps rose above 100-110 centigrade (230 Fahrenheit) this is at about 75% load
- Could not used card under full load due to heat problems
-XFX's sub-par support team and support system

Other Thoughts: Never again, XFX. I bought a Sapphire this time.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're sorry you had a fan failure. We would be happy to send you a set of replacement fans free of charge to resolve this, or replace it under warranty.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsStrong Card, Incredible Value

Pros: When I bought this card, it was by far the best card for the value. It played pretty much everything on High to Ultra at 45-60fps. There was slow down on the really grueling games like METRO, etc. But very good performance overall. The card was also fairly quiet and fit in my MINI ITX setup.

Cons: The card did put out quite a bit of heat and requires at least 400w PSU, that pretty much left me with only one option for SFF PSUs.
