3 out of 5 eggsGood card but not when crossfired.

Pros: >Great amount of ports for multiple-monitor systems.
>Mid-sized card that will fit most cases.
>Can run modern games at high FPS.

Cons: >Crossfiring is quite a dud, especially when overclocked.
>Extremely loud fan, if you're into quiet systems.
>Freezing up when overclocked on occasion.

Other Thoughts: It's a great card (especially for the price) but the crossfiring capability needs to be worked on in future models.

Pros: *** This is an update ***

Cons: na

Other Thoughts: I finally got help from XFX, like previously mentioned, Mark in support helped me... Maybe he is tho only one there?... Anyhow, they replaced my 4850 with this card. Have not installed it yet, upgrading my system...

5 out of 5 eggsReview of XFX Customer Service

Pros: This card I received for an HD4850 I had rma'd after years of good use. This has the perks of newer versions of directx and opengl. It also has more ports then the card I had before.

XFX customer service is NOT at fault. Anytime you change software / database you can expect problems to appear. Mark at XFX was very helpful and gave me his email address their to help make things quicker. I am going to continue to buy XFX products. Always save your invoice and have your serial number ready. It made the RMA process quicker. I write this on 5-6-2013.

Cons: none so far

1 out of 5 eggsReview of XFX Customer Service

Pros: ...

Cons: XFX has updated their Customer Service Website with a ton of new bugs. I have an older 4850 card that has finally given up the ghost, but has a lifetime warranty. I had to RE-REGISTER on their site because with these new bugs, they LOST their old database... Well, they wanted some number which I had never heard of before (not to mention you cannot just enter the date of purchase, you have to use their stupid calendar, which you have to go back month-by-month.) I sent them a message and they sent me the number that I needed in order to register the card. Now, I have filled out an RMA request about a week ago and haven't heard ONE SINGLE WORD about it... Until such time as they get their act together, I would suggest NO ONE buy any XFX product... BTW, the card I have had been buggy since day one...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performer With LOUD Fan

Pros: 1- 800 streaming processors
2- Only requires a min of 450 watt psu/600 watt in CrossFireX mode (on the box)
3- Supports 3-d movies, hd3-d games and 3-d blu ray
4- NO mini HDMI out
5- Slimmer card-did not take up my PCI slot
6- Lifetime warranty
7- Supports Linux (on the box too)
8- Worked flawlessly with ATI/AMD X.org Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32 bit) driver
9- Dual DVI out

Cons: 1- LOUD fan
2- Did not include a molex to PCI-E 6 pin adapter cable (for those who need it)
3- DDR3 Ram (DDR5 version costs little more)
4- 128 bit memory interface
5- MIR AKA mail in rebate

Other Thoughts: Overall an excellent performing card that runs cool. I used SecondLife to test this card and it gave way better graphics/fps than an EVGA Nvidia 9800GT 256 bit DDR3 1 gig card I have. The GPU heatsink is large and well designed too. Although I do not like the LOUD fan I still gave this card a "5 egger" due to its stellar performance!

I bought it from another online retailer; due to fact I previously/recently bought a Gigabyte Radeon HD 6770 DDR5 (disc now) that was defective right out of the box! I ended up having to eat shipping charge of $4.99 along with an additional RMA shipping charge of approx. $11.33 too. It was like being penalized for being sold a defective card!! I decided to buy this card from an online retailer who provides a FREE shipping label on any product they directly sell that is defective.

Here are my pc specs:

APEX mid tower pc case
AMD FX 4100 AM3+ (oced to 4.290/core)
RocketFish RF-UCPUCF CPU fan/heatsink
MSI AM3+ motherboard
3 gig DDR3 Crucial 1066 RAM
CoolMax ZX-500 watt psu (Corsair ax760i died...see review)
XFX HD 6770 DDR3 1 gig 2.1 card
SATA Sony DVD-ROM
SATA Western Digital 320 gb Harddrive
92mm case fan
32" hdtv connected via HDMI
Logitech v400 wireless keyboard w/built in mouse
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32 bit)
UPS w/AVR

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great... for a year

Pros: Was an upgrade from an OLD 9500GT.. Was and still am impressed with this card. It's starting to show its age with some of the new software out there, but then again it's riding around in a 4 year old system. Still runs everything I throw at it (sometimes you just have to turn the settings down a little)

Cons: Forgot to register for the warranty, and wouldn't you know it, for the first time ever, I need warranty service. "Top" of the card points downward in my case so the fan is hanging there. After a year of not having to do anything with the card, including change the fan speeds, two things are now happening. First, at idle to medium speeds, the fan sounds like it's grinding against things. I've checked, it's not hitting anything at all. sounds like its internal, ya know, where I can't do anything about it. At max speed it generates enough downward pressure to hold itself up a little.. no grinding sound. Second, even with the fan at max, the card has started running pretty hot. The cooling vanes are clear of dust, I make sure they're blown out and there's no build-up... I understand that cards get hot under load, but 50c at idle with max fan speed seems high.. it used to run in the mid 30's at Idle with normal fan speed.

Other Thoughts: This was my first foray into AMD cards.. If the most I can expect is a year out of it, I'll switch to another card.

Pros: Not a bad card at all I can run bf3 skyrim and all other good titles at a ultra settings running 55-75 fps definately a great card other then that fits in my midtowet case well.

Cons: Just ddr3 vram but still runs great so not really a con.

2 out of 5 eggsCareful if you're looking to run CrossFireX

Pros: Its short leaving lots more clearance than my other card. Probably a decent card. I would assume it would perform about as well as the similar card I already have.

Cons: I purchased this card to add as an additional card in CrossFireX. The description on NewEgg as well as the box claims to support CrossfireX. The box claims it needs an interconnect bridge and compatible motherboard. You can probably see the issue if you look closely at the picture of the actual card. It doesn't include a place to connect the bridge?

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Chris, The CrossfireX bridge is not required for this card. It uses a software crossfire, built into the Catalyst Control Center under AMD Overdrive. If you need any further questions, contact me at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com

4 out of 5 eggsDecent.

Pros: has 6 pin socket, so easy trouble shooting. Runs games like League of legends at full when freshly bought. Sli-support

Cons: recently i've been experiencing display errors. It would turn on but display would show nothing. After rebooting constantly it started to work

Other Thoughts: Games are constantly evolving so it would be a bad choice to buy this now and upgrade a year later.
